Furthermore, encoding is a one-time affair, done in a few seconds per track on a powerful machine. Decoding happens all the time, on various devices of varying computing power. 2x more decoding time means half the battery life on portable player, higher CPU state maintained on a smartphone leading to more battery drain etc.

The really crappy vocals on ROCKIN'ON TOUHOU VOL.2 just ruins everything. The compositions are amazing but the vocals just don't match up. Disgusting.

CROW'SCLAW was pretty lackluster. The guitar itself sounds great but the compositions are way too safe and predictable. The first track is alright though. At least it wasn't vocals I guess.

「四番目の壁」 was so good, as expected from 鉄腕トカゲ探知機. Slightly better than IOSYS's 「ROCKIN'ON TOUHOU VOL.2」. A&S, kairo and monochrome-coat were great too. TaNaBaTa was okay. efs was kind of disappointing, but I wasn't really expecting much after the crossfade. Still looking forward to Sun Flower Field, Riverside and mineko's album.

you have to get a plugin from somewhere else for it to work on foobar. Just google it. after that, drag the .cue into foobar to play

You have to install the TTA plugins for Foobar (you should just be able to google this), then, after you have that installed, you have to edit the .cue file. Look for where it says "(filename).wav" and change the .wav to .tta, and save it again. You might have to edit it with something like Notepad++, I don't know if regular Notepad will keep the right character set. After that, you should just be able to load the .cue into Foobar like a normal file. If it's loading the raw .tta, you can go into your settings and set *.tta to exclude from your Media list.

I had to use Google because I thought it was some term that didn't translate well from English (although I've never heard it in the past) but then I see you're using the term literally in some sense (since nobody else on the internet uses it). I have already analyzed the offending track and judging by the spectogram I am sure that a channel ended up clipping during mastering with the DAW applying softening on the clipping before going from 32bit Floating Point to 16bit integer (for CD pressing). It's a shoddy hackjob of a master, WOuld be OK back in the 90s when we used cheap analog mixers and tapes (later MDs) but not today.

The last two use performer roles, which are supported by good music players. This even works for MP3s (which use the braindead id3v2 tag format), as non-standard tags can be stored as user text frames.
