I've personally found the whole guro thing rather unsettling ever since the Yukkuris evolved from mindless catchphrase dispensers to things with enough mental complexity to allow for storylines involving psychological trauma and scarring.

Generally, if something is smart enough to know that you're torturing it's family, then it's probably immoral to do so, but bringing moralfagortry into Touhou dojin talk seems rather pointless. After all, this whole thing is just spawned out of international internet hivemind with no 'rules' or 'truth' or 'canon' beyond what one chooses to accept.

People can create their own truth of what Yukkuris are and whether they deserve to frolic or be eviscerated at any time and be 'right' because it's a reality they define.

Of course, if at any point any anon finds the violence and abuse or lack thereof inflicted upon imaginary Touhou food-head creatures to be leaving them in RAGE or DESPAIR, and they just can't stand to see a comic with a good or bad end then perhaps they should step back and realize that the answer to end their despair was in front of them all along. The only way to view any of this is to take it easy.

I still think yukkuri is Buddhist propaganda
