Danmaku is equally capable of killing, or even bringing down planes and war machines. The evidence is in Kioh Gyoku, where Yuuka does just that.

I have guns because they are cool, I don't need a gun living here in a 3rd world country, you won't need one living on America, if anything it is a luxury, just like having figurines and at the end of the day the only reason we have them is to show them on the internet to our 4chan friends or to just hotglue them.

I personally would rather stab somebody, ammunition costs lots of money, I have not bought a single round for my old M-16 in a long time.

>>10961447
Even if that were to happen your limited ammo supply won't last forever, and if it somehow gets past your local army, I don't think your civilian weapons will do much to stop it. Just realize that whatever your government allows you to have is not going to be anywhere near anything that can top something that just crushed your local army. The training to use them is much, much more valuable than the weapons themselves, and if you use them, it should be to either get more weapons/get more people armed for your cause.

You should not think about anything beyond a small robbery on your house, assuming you are an average /jp/ hikki.

>In the event of war, what exactly will your personal gun collection allow you to accomplish? Will your marksmanship allow you to survive longer on the front lines?

Yes, yes it will. The entire point of the National Rifle Association, from the day of its founding till today, is to ensure that American males always have proficiency in arms so they'll be able to serve as soldiers at a moment's notice. America fought World War 1 and World War 2 with gigantic conscript armies drafted right from the farm fields, and they worked splendidly.

General Pershing sent an aide of his ahead to the front lines to see what the situation was in Europe before American troops arrived. The aide reported the weapon of choice was the hand grenade; he witnessed one German running like hell with three brits chasing him, trying to throw grenades ahead of him so they went off when he passed over them. The Germans would later be amazed at how many casualties one American lying prone in a farm field with a rifle could rack up before he was neutralized.

To this day there is a government agency called the "Civilian Marksmanship Program" which uses government funds to pay for rifle marksmanship training for civilians, support civilian gun clubs, and provides military-surplus rifles at-cost to civilians with gun club membership - all for the express purpose of cultivating marksmanship amongst the American civilian populace. You can train people to follow orders and march in line in a few weeks, but training people to be excellent marksmen takes a lot longer.

>lol ur small armz can't stop an army XD

Tell that to the Russians who fought insurgents in Afghanistan, tell that to the British who fought the Boers in Africa, tell that to any army, anywhere. Modern militaries have artillery that can fling thousands of pounds of high explosives at targets twenty miles away, jets that can drop napalm and bombs with pinpoint accuracy, armored fighting vehicles; sixty-ton masses of "fuck you" with incredible armor that can plow THROUGH houses... and the majority of their forces still consist of men with rifles. There's a fucking reason for that - infantry is the only force that can truly occupy and secure an objective. And when you come right down to it, infantry is really fucking hard to kill. Compared to everything else, a man with a rifle is small. He can hide. If he digs a hole big enough to crouch in, you're going to have a hard time killing him with artillery, with bombs, even with direct-fire from fucking tanks; to say nothing of urban environments.

A nation who's citizens have numerous small-arms that they're skilled at using aren't going to defeat an invading army on their own. They're just going to make things really, really fucking difficult for the enemy, making the job that much easier for their own regular military forces. Its hard to keep an invasion rolling when your supply truck drivers keep getting picked off by Uncle Fudd and his Durr Raffle.

Genghis Khan conquered both Afghanistan and Russia successfully. His troops were able to subdue every land he conquered, and pass without problems. Here's one example which may illustrate why.

The nation of Khwarezm was a major enemy to him. Their rulers murdered two groups of ambassadors Genghis sent to them requesting their allegiance. In response, he made an example of Khwarezm. The empire was utterly destroyed; its cities were razed to the ground. His armies killed everyone and made separate piles of the skulls of men, women, children, elephants, dogs, and cats. He executed the administration responsible for the deaths of his ambassadors by pouring molten silver into their eyes and throats. The region still hasn't recovered, and it's believed that the philosophy of "don't shoot the messenger" has some amount of root in what became of those who shot Genghis Khan's messengers.

Now, weapons are far more powerful, and in some cases far more horrifying, than anything Genghis Khan had. Chemical weapons make crouching in a hole equivalent to dying horribly. Tanks are more effective against infantry than you'd think: They can use their treads.. What happens when a ruthless invading army with access to such things is delayed by militants shooting at their supply chains?

The things standing between an invading army and ruthlessly and horribly putting down any fool civilian militants, along with anyone in their general vicinity, are mostly limited to things like the Geneva convention and human decency. Without those things, war is hell.

What firearms available to civilians can punch through reactive tank armor? Even powerful shoulder-fired rockets have trouble getting through tank armor.

What of it? It's cheaper to move them on a train than it is to move them on flatbed trucks, and the place where they are to be stored, or deployed, or used in training exercises, is not their factory.

That sounds word for word of what I heard in my Genghis campaign in AoK

You posted her.

I only have a Mosin Nagant (I'm >>10961572). I want to own all of the main rifles used by each major nation in WW2, though I think the price of that is too high. I also want to get an M1911, as it's my favorite pistol. Otherwise, I want to get at least one gun of each type of action. I almost got a Waffen Werks AK-74 but heard Arsenal is better so I decided to wait until gun prices drop to pre-scare levels.

No, and that sounds like a crazy conspiracy theory to me.

I don't think those are unfired, its just the shoulders of the casings. If they were unfired rifle rounds the tips would have pointer bullets.

You're right, the AK-74 does shoot rounds like that. Though the image makes that look like it's the same diameter as the rest of the casing so it looked like it was the bullet.

Also, what's up with Sakuya and guns? I can understand Reisen and to an extent Nitori, but why is Sakuya depicted with guns so often?
