I don't understand how such a simple game can get so much fandom of otaku and generate high quality mechindise. The same thing could be said for Nitendo, but they didn't keep replicating the same game and storyline over and over in terms of quality. For goodness sakes Zun's aet hasn't changed and his story has barely progessed. Is it even really that fun in the end when gameplay hasn't changed? It's fun, but this fun? Shit wouldn't be popularbherebifbnot for the fanart/fan-storylines.

In the end I seriously din't see how to get so hyped over a game that just doesn't get better or more original despite being a player.

Hello figure thread

Any tips on how to fix broken figs? I was just cleaning my Tokiame Marisa (picture), but when I was about to put her back on top of the star, the plastic "spike" that's supposed to keep her in place tore. I say tore because it didn't snap, more like it bent and ripped, and it's still hanging on by a small bit.

Assuming I can try and fix this, how should I do it in the best way? What type of glue should I use? And is there anyway to be sure I won't glue Marisa to the star forever and ever?

Any input is appreciated, I'm quite startled how to this managed to happen. I wonder if the plastic went weak after these few years. And no, I don't have any of my figs in the sun, I keep them in cool places away from direct light and heat.

I would say some sort of super glue would work the best (I've had luck with "gorilla glue"), don't use a lot because it tends to expand and bubble out sometimes. Just apply pressure until it can hold itself together and wait for it to dry. If done correctly and with some patience it shouldn't be too much of an issue. And yeah, it's a pain in the ass to get Marisa on that stupid peg.

My Ques Q Nitori and Yuuka just came about an hour ago. They are very cute.

I only did a quick examination, but both seem fine to me. I have no complaints about the Nitori, especially. Probably because it's a much simpler design.

Yuuka, however, does have some small uglyness. Nothing major, but in areas of busyness such as the frills of her skirt, the paintjob is noticeably much lazier. The black dots, in particular, are painted "badly". I'm not too worried about it, though; you wouldn't notice it unless you were looking for it, and the poor sweatshop worker probably had to meet a quota. I can forgive him.

Her box is also huge as fuck.

The hole where you attach the umbrella to the handle is, however, a little too small. Without forcing it, at the risk of breaking something, I don't think I'll be able to attach it. Any ideas?

Typical QuesQ Quarity right here folks. Yuyuko's fan was also nigh impossible to attach and keep still.

You could try rubbing the peg against something to sort of sand it down and thinning it.

You could also try hairdrying the hole so that it expands, but this can irrevocably damage the paint or even ruin the mold if you're not careful.

Then again my advices are pretty harmful so you best leave them as a last resort.

The quality seems to be ok, no big problems, but... this.

She has a scratch on her leg. I don't know if it is really a scratch or it's something that rubbed on her while she was packed or something, because the paintjob on the rest of her body it's pretty nice.

Is there a way to fix/cover that, or I'll have to deal with my OCD?.

Anyways, I checked that the color of the resin was the actual "skin" color, by scratching a bit on a hidden area under her dress, and then "polished" the affected area with a diluted solution of glasses cleaner liquid. Now the scratches are less noticeable, but I won't be able to remove them completely without making the area look shinier, so I'll leave it like that.
