I have some quite elaborate posts hidden in the /tg/ archives somewhere but I can't find them.
So let me just share this.

http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/2427551/

But crudely put, it's really quite the fun dungeon crawler, that also happens to be easily customizable, and encompasses quite the elaborate management system as if you were playing My life as a King or something as well.
A world of dungeons, and you the players claim these dungeons as you/in order to expand your kingdom.

You the players are actually in charge of building your kingdom and setting up various facilities that can benefit your kingdom and or your players as you build your party to further dungeon crawl and expand your kingdom.
You can fluff it as Dwarf Fortress or whatever you want really. Flexible and great fun. Incorporates quite good world building elements that depending on the group can be elaborated upon quite a bit. And on the technical level it is really quite intriguing to gather together as a group in order to triumph over the Dungeon Master's schemes and the dungeons.

This is kind of silly. The overall reason seems to be that it's not notable because it didn't have much English coverage. Coverage is one of the criteria for notability on Wikipedia, but I think Narutolovehinata5 basically summed it up. "I can't read Japanese, therefore this thing isn't notable."

>> No.10827016

>>10826952
In just one month, barely. It got deleted because of stupid reasons like that.

The information in that article was all taken from the publishers and developer's site on the books. The chapters on the books themselves. And a little tidbits from the cards that are bundled with the games.

If they just had any idea of what they were talking about, they should have realized that.
But it seems like some of them initially didn't even understand that it was a pen & paper table top RPG.

The stupidity. And due to how hasty they all were about it, it can't be restored. Why do they even care? Clearly they didn't even know what Meikyuu Kingdom is, so just how did they think that they could properly judge whether or not it non-notable?

>> No.10827039

>>10827016
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Deletion_review#Purpose
Deletion Review may be used:

1. if someone believes the closer of a deletion discussion interpreted the consensus incorrectly,
2. if a speedy deletion was done outside of the criteria or is otherwise disputed,
3. if significant new information has come to light since a deletion that would justify recreating the deleted page,
4. to have the history of a deleted page restored behind a new, improved version of the page (called a history-only undeletion),
5. if a page has been wrongly deleted with no way to tell what exactly was deleted, or
6. if there were a substantive procedural error(s) in the deletion discussion or speedy deletion.

>> No.10827072

This sounds pretty fun. Though I have no experience other than a few sessions of 3.5 D&D years ago. And even then my roleplay attempts were very awkward.

>> No.10827105

>>10827016
The point is not that it wasn't accurate, but that it was non-notable.

For example, I can write an article about myself using accepted sources, but I'm not a notable person. They check different things to decide this, ranging from news sources to Google results.

I think that's silly though, because it has a Japanese entry nobody is complaining about. I'm guessing there's a lot of information on it available in Japan, but the idea here was that they couldn't find much English information, so all those Japanese pages are irrelevant. This might be an official policy somewhere, but given how international the Web is, I think it's pretty stupid. Something can be huge in one country but have no information on it in English, it still deserves an English encyclopedia entry even if you have to use non-English sources.

Also there's a Lithuanian article on the game, for some reason. I doubt there's much Lithuanian information, but then again I doubt anyone cares enough to moderate the Lithuanian Wikipedia.

Same here. I really wanted to role-play too, but local culture makes things like that difficult. We're bred to respond to things like role-playing with the same knee-jerk reaction as when something is overly camp or makes you cringe.
Whenever the issue of talking in-character came up, we either did it in an overly brief and casual way, or in a stupid, ironic way.

I think it shouldn't be too hard to publish a modified version of the deleted page in one of the anime/doujin/whatever news sources or in a popular blog, probably stir some interest in a relevant forum, if someone cared enough, and then they won't be able to say it is non-notable. Hey OP, guy from /tg/ that drifted in /jp/ for the first time out of boredom. It must be fate.

Anyway, I mastered some Maid RPG games, a lot if we also count derivatives, like High School RPG (which has a clearer path and a less important "master" role). Including in real life. And, I'm a bit rusty, since I haven't really played or mastered anything recently, but I was planning on doing something anyway to get my groove back a bit, if only because two friends recently received imported maid costumes.

So, yeah, online running can totally work, I tend to be more used to IRC. Though with some actual friends you can't meet, voice chat can really help things out, as games can get ridiculously long and bogged down. If you plan to make any sort of progression, you'll need at LEAST an afternoon.
