I think one of the most alluring things about Suwako (and to an extent, the other 'old lolis') in the context of an open, largely vaguely defined backstory is the sheer amount of imagination room you have as a participant interpreter. She can be a cute little girl, a creepy diety slithering up out of a swamp, a nubile young girl on the cusp of womanhood in emphasis of her nature as a fertility diety, or a million other things.

I enjoy that Suwako a lot too. It feeds into one notion of why she came back to the temple after Kanako defeated her; simply to take it easy. Lazing around the shrine all day, taking naps in sunbeams during warm afternoons, having tea with Kanako as the sun starts to set behind the mountain.
