I've never been to a concert or convention or anything and I was a little bit scared.
I'm not an outgoing person at all, but when she came out I actually screamed and jumped for probably the first time in my life. It was very exciting.

Thing is though, if you watch the concert videos from LA/NYC, the crowd LOVES the dubstep parts. (fulll disclosure: I was there and did indeed love it.) And correct me if I'm wrong, they waited until America to show those bits off. Combine that with comments like

Alright! Here's the rather anemic line we arrived to at around 1pm.

But people started to fill in pretty quick!

On the note of the "frilly skirt with regular shoes, why" comment earlier, girl on the right here is a serious real-deal lolita and has the right shoes and stuff. Even she bailed for sneakers, there was just too much standing/walking/dancing for it.

More crowd! At this point people are treating it more like a party than a line; people are coming in and out with food, going around and mingling, nobody was getting butthurt about "hey you cut my spot"

Some of the people were what you'd call "weeaboos," but it wasn't like an anime con. People like "screaming underage kid who thinks they're special because they have a deviantart" or "person who subsists on Doritos and Wendy's and wears MLP shirts and khaki shorts everywhere" did not appear. Everyone looked, and acted, pretty cool.
