I think Curiosities of Lotus Asia had some mention about youkai diseases. Turns out that youkai are immune to human diseases of all kinds. This is because those diseases target the physical body and youkai are spiritual manifestations, so they wouldn't be bothered by it.
However, youkai have their own 'youkai diseases' that affect the spirit, which can be quite dangerous to youkai. Humans are immune to these youkai diseases because their spirits are more durable. This is the same reason why humans are unaffected by Shinto mojo but youkai are hurt by it.

Half-youkai like Rinnosuke are immune to both kinds of disease, effectively being resistant to all forms of illness. Half-youkai seem to have the best of both worlds in this regard.

Eirin can make medicine for both human and youkai diseases according to her PMiSS article, but if a youkai takes Eirin's 'human' medicine it can be dangerous for the youkai, and likewise Eirin's 'youkai' medicine is bad for humans.
If you want Rumia to stay healthy you should have check ups at Eirin's place every once in a while.
