I pay for it off and on, sometimes I just feel the need to play all week, other times I only play 2 or 3 games a day so I don't purchase it.

I think there is a way to hack it though, I never tried because it isn't expensive enough for me to care.

It's all about constantly recalculating the probability of getting a certain hand with the current tiles and those in the pool and then looking at people's discarded tiles and deducing what hand they're going for, a task that only sounds fun if you're a mechanical computer and the latter of which is basically impossible unless there's essentially no time limit or the person declares Ron and is going for a straight suit. Otherwise it's nothing but pure luck and a basic knowledge of the winning hands.

Rank means nothing if you're playing in ippan. If their rate shows up (ie. if it's above 1800) then you can assume they know what they're doing. Otherwise, they are probably not much better than you. If you can't win a single game your problem is you, not your opponents.
