~1 hour in, I really like it so far.
They mostly kept the system the same, which is good. They also really improved the speed. Battles start/end instantly now, instead of having to load for a few seconds like in the previous games.
The graphics are nice and clean, but they tried to add some half-assed DOF. I wish there was an option to turn it off. They also added really annoying sound effects when you jump. I really like jumping around on the maps since it looks really cute, but the sound effects kinda ruin that.
The translation is still as shitty as always, making Neptune's cute, childish way of talking sound like she's some kind of retard. I wonder if they put in a ton of ``epic memes'' again like in mk2. Ugh.
Well, I'm not going to let that spoil the game for me. I hope you guys get your copies soon.

All USA and EUR games on PS3 are virtually identical except for the single byte defining the region, not mentioning that PS3 is region-free (game-wise, except for a single exclusion, Persona 4 Arena). It's the DLC that makes the difference, because you can't (simply) install cross-region DLC. V has no DLC at the moment, so there's absolutely no reason to wait for USA release when there's EUR available. It's not like you'll be accessing PS Store with a hacked PS3 anyway (unless you want to get your PS3 banned for some reason).
And it's too late for me to post scene release already, go get unpacked one from TPB.

It doesn't, period. You own the US version, you have to buy DLC from the US store. I'm no expert on PS3 things, but from what I gather, NISA always fucks one continent or the other when it comes to DLC. For example, for the longest time, Disgaea DLC was only available in the US, while the EU version of said DLC was only released months/years later (or at all)

You can have multiple PSN accounts in different regions and install a game of any region on each of them.
Each region has an own PSN store and DLC you download from it will be bound to that PSN account but will work with games of any region. So even if you have the US version of a game, as long as you install it on an EU PSN account you can download and play EU DLC.

He is correct actually. You can play a game from any region with any PSN account (assuming the game itself is region free) however if you want the DLC to work you'll need to download from the PSN store tied to the game (US game - US store, EU game - EU store, JP game - JP store etc.). Once the DLC is downloaded it'll be available for all accounts on the same console so you can play a JP game with JP DLC on your EU account.

This isn't too bad if you buy from one specific region so you can focus your purchases there but it becomes rather annoying when you have to buy PSN cards for multiple regions. Also for whatever it's worth the only item that don't carry over to other PSN accounts is avatar pictures, they're tied to the PSN account that purchased them.

XSEED is great; NISA is good when they actually try, though. Ayesha's localization was probably their best yet.
