Well I started using this board when I was 16. I'm 20 now. Maybe because they just move in and out in waves and many don't even bother saying their age. I wish I was 16-17 again speaking of that. I don't wanna get any older.

I read some old notes for the fatal familial insomnia VN idea. I think that's what I miss the most of early /jp/, so much optimism and creativity.

Same. I'm almost 21 now and I've been browsing /jp/ since 2008, which makes me a faggot but I don't give a fuck because there's shitposters 10 years older than me now who got here last year. Anons used to post about being in their mid 20s and at the time that seemed a lifetime away, like I'd fix my life before reaching that point. Now I feel like I've already joined the downward spiral.

It's true, they fought their battles in their day but boards on *chans have gone down one of two paths.

They either become like /b/ (their demographic changes complete 180 as many 'newfags' flood the board, embracing cancer and faggotry that the older generations throughly rejected) or become like 7chan (rejecting the memes and internet culture that fostered their being out of fear of becoming like /b/, which just lead to their deaths by the fact that too few people would care about going there anymore). That or the boards are so new that they were born into the newfaggotry.
