If you think I'm completely unaware of my faults and short-ends then you are making giant assumptions.

I guess I can see your concern for the sameface comment, but the reason the two are so similar is because the two of them are siblings that are one year apart. That's not your fault for not knowing, but I'm not going to spend 100% energy on character sheets when I can just take the skeleton and adjust what I needed to. In this case, face shape and hairstyle as well as height. Sure I can draw out each gesture from scratch each time, but that sounds like a lot of unneeded effort.

But if you really are that bothered by it, here's an example of just one character sheet to put into perspective why a bust picture would seem like monotonous work after awhile, especially if you have multiple characters to work on alone.

Whenever you try anything new, things will always look bad. A little research on methods never hurts. There are guides out there to get you started. Reading some books won't hurt either, Andrew Looomis wrote a book on gesture drawing and there are plenty of anatomy books floating around.

Try to find out the different types of ways people go about doing practice. For example some people use blocks, crystallization, simple stick figures with key points emphasized. And try to apply them next time you do your study.

Some are more suited for others as well as more enjoyable, I wouldn't say one is better than the other because I'm the end, whoever is still doing the studies is the one that pulls benefits.

Try to no just look at things but think of how do they work. Like take a look at your drawing that you think has a bad anatomy and think of it as a real person. is ti going to move properly? will it stand properly? draw the bones and the muscles from anatomy books and pictures. And remember that drawing is a long path, if you really want to one day draw good and enjoying the progress keep going, if it feels like a chore however and only pushing yourself to one day become perfect stop because that day will never come. You will never feel like you became perfect with drawing, you will always find better and better artist to envy.

However, I got my new microphone yesterday by means of simple conversations and just put it to use. Wanted to test if I could also record some music with it and well, I'm not disappointed and quite surprised the sound ended up so well.
It's a cover of an arrangement of Hinas stage theme, played by Nanase.
Since I just did it on a whim, the there are also mistakes (Especially from 0:31 to 0:45). Like It's just a test.

Well, it's more than possible the guitar is out of tune again. I put new strings on it just yesterday and it's tuned five semitunes lower, so it's a drop-d tuning. Therefore, the high tones sound kinda strange.

also updated their heads to turn around like every other mob's, minus cirno. minecraft doesn't like having its cubes rotated on z axis i guess, and screws the whole thing up if it is. cirno's ribbon is rotated on z.

In that one I think they have not only blurred a duplicate but also adjusted the levels, or even set the blending mode to multiply, to get those richer tones out of already existing colors. The blending mode may even be soft light because it is only affecting the lighter areas of the image.

I actually do this with a lot of my images. You duplicate the final image, change the levels on the duplicate to something much darker(around 200), set that layer to Screen, clip it to the original, then Gaussian blur it by several tens of pixels.

fixed the cirno problem by redoing her ribbon, and also added a reimu. i had to remove the hostile versions for now, they waste entity id space.

Levels is an Image Adjustment in Photoshop and other programs. SAI doesn't have it, if you're looking for it there. You adjust the shadows or midtones bar towards 200, but leave the highlights alone.

Anyways. Are you using a heavy enough gauge? That might be the problem. Or you might be fretting too strongly, causing that slight shift in tone. Or maybe you're just fretting the wrong notes (I hope not!). I don't know, either way, there's some really nasty dissonance and out-of-tune-ness going on in there. This made the harmony part especially jarring. You should strive to fix this!

Playing wise, it's somewhat decent. You're not exactly perfectly in time all the time, but I guess there's some charm to that human-like approach. There are some sloppiness here and there, but you seem to be aware of them, so it's just a matter of practicing more.

About the gauge - You bet.
My string gauging is
011 - 014 - 018 - DY36 - DY52 - DY70; it's ultra heavy.
But you're probably right about the fretting. I usually play metal (hence the low tuning) and didn't want to set a standard tuning just for this test. However, since I'm probably going to keep on covering acoustic stuff (Or writing it myself), I might as well use an acoustic guitar sometime soon.

To be honest, most music sucks. It honestly stinks, not just normal "Magister always draws ugly deformed titblobs that I don't like" stinks, but "Even if I liked this genre of music, it would still suck" stinks.

It's not hard to draw something kitsch though. Everything else takes more effort, particularly music which is probably the most inflammatory kind of media.

It'd be nice if people put forth the effort to make some sort of game. Even if it was shit, it's not hard to make a game that interests people. Especially because you can just make a "ripoff/parody of X with Y" type game, whereas if you tried that with art, you'd be hanged.

3D models or real works like carving (not shitty con props) would be nice too.

You suck at writing and even if you surpassed my expectations and it WASN'T some fanfiction level tripe, it would still be inane amateurish shit that couldn't hold anyone's attention beyond the first paragraph. More seriously though, if you think you can write, write a book. People will buy any kind of books about anything, why bother with this thread? If you don't want to write even a short novel then it should at least be a well constructed short story. Nothing that could be posted without taking up half the posts in this thread could possibly be worth reading(even if it isn't just Touhou fap fiction), unless it is a nice poem or song of some type, and even then, it'd be better off on a site along with longer works.

Not to discourage, I mean I don't know, maybe you could be like Penrobokai or something and make actually half-interesting stories that fit into a couple posts. (Which might actually be good practice; take an anime pic and write a short story about it)

Writing as a whole can be incorporated into anything else though, be it art as a comic or light novel, music as the lyrics, and game as the story. If you're going to write something that's pure text, ...actually I can't finish this because for all I know the thread would be accepting of short fanfiction "Mudo walked around the outside of the school building" type posts.

If you want to post writing, go for it. Just make sure you make it interesting enough that people will actually read the whole thing, unlike this post I just made.
