There's no need for physics, just math.

Aya is the fastest as in speed thinking in.
t->0 ∆m/∆t

But Sakuya literally moves during periods of time t=0
Speed is not defined in this situation outsite de math boundary in the application movement=f(time) from where we obtain speed.

Aya is fastest
Sakuya is undefined, technically Sakuya is more close to teleportation than movement.

Kappas having technology at par of that of us humans, and gods wanting to introduce nuclear energy as a new energy source, I suppose it already did. Just not for your regular villager/youkai.

I can't imagine the Kappas having such an advance technology and not developing digital thingamajigs. And they're definitively keeping the technology for themselves at Youkai Mountain.

Maybe Aya just uses her bunkachou to take notes, and then she transcribes them to her computer at home, ha. And remember Hatate uses a cellphone to take pictures for her articles.

And didn't Yukari use a cellphone to talk with Ran?, Gensokyo is already past iPhone 6.

Given that Aya routinely flaunts even the most basic of journalistic standards (falsifying events, passing off opinion as fact, libel), I would say that Hatate wins this competition by default. This, of course, is notwithstanding any of the other Tengu that produce newspapers that were mentioned in CoLA.

Aya probably wins the "best reporter" designation by a long shot, though.

>>10481620
>>10481611
Given that the human village (which is the only market for Gensokyo's newspapers) artifically lives somewhere in the late feudal period for the benefit of the youkai, I'd say Kakashi and Bunbun won't be putting out iPad editions anytime too soon.

Also, most people who talk about newsprint going extinct don't really know why people buy newspapers.
A lot of people simply like the feel of a newspaper. That's really something that can't be simulated with an iPad or whatever: you can't fold an iPad in half, you can't take arts section out of an iPad to give to your girlfriend, who wants to read the comics, and screen caps are a hassle when you can just rip out stuff and pin it on your fridge.

As the baby boomers die off I do expect print editions to become more of a rarity, but they will continue to exist for the simple fact that pixels on a screen can't replicate the experience and conveniences that many people are accustomed to.

Although DS and some later cameos indicate that she is trying to branch out and do honest reporting, she is still a pretty shitty reporter by all objective standards. Myself, I wouldn't have it any other way. I've always been an inquisitive person, always loved finding out secrets and new things, always loved asking questions. The additional fact that my only marketable skills involve research and writing probably steered me in the direction. For me, what I love about my career is the hunt involved: finding a story, tracking it down, and bagging it. It's one of the few professions where you get to legally hunt man, the most dangerous game of all!

That being said, I am not going to lie to you: the job market is bad and will get worse, even as the boomers start retiring. Many positions are being made redundant (especially in print) and what's being created on the web does not have the job security or pay that my peers enjoyed ten years ago.

I'm a year from graduation, but I can relay the advice that my superiors have all told me. Ensure that you have a workable knowledge in all media platforms (radio, broadcast, online, and print), network as hard as you can (with both potential employers and future sources), and learn how to sell yourself well if you plan on doing anything related to freelance. Be persistent in chasing a story. Try and write every day, if you can. Finally, if you have any favourite journalists, read them and study them extensively - how they write, who influenced them, and so on. I'm agnostic on additional post-secondary, as I've seen both people who did well without any additional training, and people who swear by Master's Programs (which I am considering after my B.A.) and the additional benefits and extensive opportunities they provide relative to a lower level of education. Be sure to go for internships and other programs that provide intensive opportunities "in the field."

The core of libel law is that anything written which is meant to cause damage to the reputation of someone else constitutes libel and entitles the victim to a remedy.

Kogasa's case would probably rest with the last paragraph, where she derides Kogasa as so:
>Someone that goes around startling children is not much of a babysitter and, I'm afraid to say, can only be seen as a simple weirdo.

Granted, Kogasa trying to babysit kids IS sketchy as fuck, but such an article would damage her efforts to continue a sustainable career and could be grounds for a suit

What I remember writing is that their abilities compliment each other. Aya goes out and reports on shit, and then gives it over to Hatate, who uses her cellphone to find out what Aya made up and wring out Aya's editorializing. Furthermore, Hatate's commitment to engaging the intelligence of the reader makes her a good editor while Aya's powers, experience, and total lack of restraint means that she would be better off gathering news

Which is why I erred on the side of caution and said that it was only borderline, rather than honest-to-god libel.

It would really be up to Kogasa to convince the judge that Aya's statement is incorrect. The first half is, but the second half is probably up the discretion of the judge. Making the case for the presence of malice and damage to reputation would be a lot easier to make, I think.

Also, from what I hear Americans can get away with a lot more than British and Canadian journalists. Lucky.

Aya expressed an opinion. Opinions are not falsifiable. There isn't a court in the world that would convict for libel.

I don't see why not. The tengu and oni may have clashed in the past, but that was long ago and Suika and Aya seem to be on really good terms with each other. Suika is very friendly and welcoming towards Aya, and although Aya may be slightly skeptical and defensive towards Suika, she still holds mutual respect and friendliness for her. Reimu is also good friends with Aya, and Nitori is familiar with Aya as they live nearby each other and the kappa created the camera that Aya uses specifically for her.

Also Nue seems like she would be pretty cool to hang out with. I really like her as a character. I just wish that she had more connections to other characters. The only characters she really has any ties to are Byakuren and Mamizou, whereas Aya has connections to literally every touhou character from game 6 to game 12.
