I hate the way characters act in such an exagerrated way in stuff. It's like artists are intentionally exaggerating things to make up for the fact that they don't know how to make them subtle. Writers, and later on, live action actors, did this *exact* same thing in the infancy of their fields of entertainment. Maybe it's a natural process and anime/comics are just slow bloomers.
