Probably different, because current Japanese society was based on choices made after/because they lost the war. There was a huge change in everything, as far as I know. I think maybe Japan would be even more isolated from the rest of the world, but it's impossible for me to say because I am no expert.

I've been to an alternate universe so I can answer this. Germans invent a type of atom bomb and drop multiple bombs on russia, russia surrenders. USA also invents the atom bomb but never dropped it on japan. In order to end the war USA and germany come to a treaty and that ends the war.

USA keeps developing their comic book art style but japan has no interest in american stuff. On the other hand, a german cartoonist takes interest in american comic style and begins to produce their own. Russia (now partially belonging to japan and germany) begins to take interest on american comic style (since they dislike german unfunny ugly comics) and develop the beginnings of anime.

Russia develops anime if hitler won.

What I really hate is when people ASSUME that if Nazi Germany won WW2 that it would forever be a totally closed, dictatorship society.

Meanwhile, we have real life evidence that countries that are like this eventually fall and open up; examples being Russia, Eastern Europe, China, etc. North Korea will likely be next.

Thus, even if Germany won WW2, it would have been great because technology would have still evolved (maybe even better and faster [especially since if you consider how the world stole so much tech from Germany and based current tech off German pioneered ideas]), except the main GREAT difference between this reality and that glorious alternate reality is that there would not be any fucking jews in this world anymore. Thus there is absolutely not reason not to wish that Germany should have won WW2.

The amazing thing about this comment/post coming being on /jp/ is that if you absolutely HAD to narrow down exactly only ONE reason why Germany lost WW2, it could be totally and completely blamed on Japan, since if Japan never had attacked Pearl Harbor, America would have not entered the war and the Axis powers would have definitely won.
