What are your favorite youkai? Which youkai would you like to see converted into lolis for Touhou?

Man, I fucking love monsters.
I don't play tabletop games very often because I wouldn't really have a regular group, but I still love the monster books for Pathfinder.
Anyone that likes this kind of stuff should check them out. They have some great statblocks, art and descriptions for some youkai, including the OP monster.

I remember a western manga oh god please don't kick me out I swear I didn't know what I was doingthat was about a world of Real Youkai, IE the floating flaming paper lanterns, the ladies with incredibly heavy babies in the rain and all that creepy shit. It was pretty good, but I think it got canned after one volume which was disappointing.

I would say the baku are too weird looking to be Touhous, but ZUN has made it happen before. The actual mythological satori were supposed to have been covered in a thick coat of body hair, for example.
