I've never understood why people are strictly under the impression that one has to be with other people for drinking to be alright. Sure, alcohol will make you less inhibited, but that doesn't mean that you absolutely need to be in the company of someone else, physically. Hell, the Internet counts as social interaction in my books.

I drink alone more often than I drink with other people. While it's not the most optimal drug for it, drinking alone can still make for some decent introspection. In general, you should just feel more at ease and enjoy goofing around on your PC.

Do it if you feel like trying. Just don't drink if you're feeling down to begin with. It might just be me, but alcohol tends to strengthen the feelings you're currently experiencing, even if it can induce some slight feelings of euphoria while you're coming up. If you feel sad before drinking, you will likely feel sad while drunk.

I used to drink quite often, but then I eventually realized that it was dumb and unnecessary. First, it's hard on the wallet especially when you're a NEET. Second, it fucks up with your reflexes, senses and your liver. In everyday life, I want to be as concentrated as possible. I'm already unproductive so what the fuck that doesn't help at all. The only practical thing to use beer for is to boost a bit of your creativity. Nowadays I only drink occassionally, like for a celebration or an event. Stay healthy /jp/.

For one, I love Newcastle Brown. But I drink solely to get drunk, and I can't swallow more than 6 bottles of that without it sickening my stomach, whereas 12 cans of Heineken will have me drunk as hell and I won't puke my guts up either.

I'm sure some of you share my feelings about alcohol discussion, it's almost always juvenile.

In any case, do any of you get really bad nightmares after drinking for 2-3 days straight? I get them a lot, and that's if I can even sleep. However, lately I managed to lucid dream solely because of how vivid the dreams were. The first time, though, it devolved into a nightmare and I was so aware, telling myself to please wake up during the dream, over and over. It took a while, but I did, and I also had that horrible sensation of dreaming with my eyes open where I could see spiders on my walls in front of me.
The only other person I knew who got this was my alcoholic uncle, who couldn't bear to stop drinking because of the nightmares.
Also, the general anxiety I get during this hangovers is a pain, too.

I've basically ruined my liver. Drinking 16 litres of wine a week since I was 14 hasn't done me a whole lot of good. Which sucks because drinking is pretty much the only crutch I have. Weed is fantastic, though annoying to get in my town. You have to put up with really shitty people and hope they don't see you for the wormish, stunted human being you are. But it's great when you do get it, one 25 and I'm on a four day vacation in my own head. I feel like the room's giving me a big hug and masturbating is a thousand times better.

The bitterness in beer comes from hops, not alcohol. Have you had vodka? That is what alcohol tastes like. In a decent beer, you shouldn't be able to taste the alcohol too harshly, if you can then you may just be particularly sensitive to that taste. If you do not like hop bitterness you may still like a wheat beer or belgian ales or fruit beer/lambic... those are usually a bit sweeter and with low bitterness.
