Except that Takano wasn't "evil" (pft, as if anybody is), and Bernkastel has miracle magic so it isn't really bullshit (besides, Bernkastel is awesome in Umineko).

Takano's motive was great too, it made perfect sense to me. It's just a shame that she broke down when Bernkastel started finding loopholes everywhere.

I just looked it up. It seems that here in America we did not receive this as the first initial manga, when in fact we should have. In America we received the manga of what the anime is based off of (which the manga still had a different ending though). This makes sense now that you have shown me this initial manga that predates what I had read at first as the original series. There were a lot of wholes in the series that seemed like I was missing from a prior story. We only received this as our first volume in the U.S from Yen Press.

Also I have no idea where we download all these VNs. I end up having to buy all my VN's and hide them from my family. I don't like having to buy them or even having them in physical form. Can you or someone else please help me?

Onisarashihen is a side story, you can skip it without problem and it's not the first initial story

In america the main story is published and you only need that, the rest ia a plus.

Takano lost in all the worlds where Rika was killed by Shion. (Which is 2 out of 8 we saw.) Rika's body was found after more than 48 hours had passed since she died, which means that Hifumi's theories were disproved and Takano couldn't massacre the village.

Indeed. Nomura has Takano killed after Takano gasses the village. After all, setting up an entire research facility for Takano as she promised would cost quite a bit of money. Takano was previously able to get that money from Koizumi because the latter felt guilty for abandoning Hifumi, but there's no evidence that Nomura has either access to or the desire to spend such funds. Furthermore, if Takano is considered to be dead as part of Nomura's cover story to the opposing faction in Tokyo, then having her pop up alive and well later (which would be inevitable if she got a position as prominent as the head of her own facility), would allow them to realize that they'd been tricked and that the Hinamizawa incident was a ploy to allow their political enemies to gain power. Also, Takano is a key witness; if for some reason she decided to talk (e.g. after being captured by the opposing faction after they discover she's still alive), then she'd be able to lay the blame for the murder of 2000 civilians on both Nomura and her entire faction. Since Takano is already legally dead, Nomura wouldn't even have her men stage it so as to seem an accident or suicide; all she'd need is to have her killed and dispose the body somewhere where it wouldn't be found. By doing that, she'd eliminate the key witness that could implicate her, remove any chance of someone discovering that Takano was still alive after her supposed death and also would not have to spend vast sums to fulfill the promises she made to her.

I doubt that Takano cared at that point. She knew it was the end for her research (as evidenced by when she told Irie that it should be her to end it(or something like that)). She just wanted to embarrass Tokyo for snubbing Hifumi and cutting her funding. She also harbored no delusions that she could do it on her own and admitted to herself that Irie was a much better scientist than she was.

In that, she got what she wanted most of the time. I'll call a victory in her favor.

I'm probably the only one liked Shion (the better Shion, which is to say the fake Shion, the slutty Shion, the Shion without the tattoo...). It's probably because I'm a totally faggot.
