Loved the fuck out of it. Sure, the combat is a bit hard and slippery, but it felt really free. The only things I didn't like in it was the short story, and lack of co-op.

The combat sub-game where you pick a loli to fight another loli is more intense than any fighting game I've played.
The main game is pretty good. Dungeons can get tedious inventory management is a bitch, but it's still pretty good, despite the story ending in a cliff hanger and we'll probably never see a sequel.
Music is amazing, too.

Fortune Summoners is a deceptive game. At a first glance it seems like a fun romp through childhood, but in reality it is an experience defined by poor ideas and execution that come together to form a repetitive nightmare.

Fortune summoners is an innocent and cute looking game. Sadly the game itself is quite attrocious. The controls are my biggest beef with this game, they feel so clumsy and make things alot harder than they should be. Its a bad way to ramp up the difficulty. The story is pretty good considering its a game that has only one purpose, being a cute game. So for me it gets a free pass on that. Theres also some other technical issues in the game, I doubt they have "fixed" it since its mainly a personal issue. The visuals are just..ass. It looks fine when its in a small window, but if you try to put it any bigger it just stretches everything and the game looks awful. Its a shame that the devs were so lazy. Atleast have a good fullscreen resolution, goddammit. Its painfull to play something on PC when its limited to a tiny tiny screen, not to mention that the animations couldve used few more frames in them. Its an eyesore.
In the game you encounter various deadly critters like slime blobs, bats, bullies and other horrors, beat them up with boring moves that never seem to reach or just feel lackluster. You really have to like cute things more than anything to get any enjoyment out of the game. For few euros or muricabucks its not that bad, but whatever you do dont pay the full price if you are even buying games. The full price will only leave you feeling robbed of your dignity and your money.

There is nothing wrong with the system, if you run into things and just mash buttons it's going to punish you for it.

It really was quite delightful to play a game where monsters didn't just roll over and die, but were still surmountable with the right strategy. Once you get the timing right on those bees, it's piss easy to take on even three at once solo. Their patterns are very predictable.

Every monster has a way to easily dispatch it, kobolds are pathetically easy if you actually block (and use your upward slash) once in a while. Even if you don't want to learn the game, once you get Stella you can just nuke anything with chaser if you really have to.

It irritates me to see people actually complain about a great system, but that's my autism.

It was great. I honestly feel a lack of games like this, 2D combat that is not just smashing buttons and you actually fear the dungeons and enemies. If you fail it's usually your own fault.
