I know that the thread got pretty far away from the original topic, but OP's pic is a classic example of how cultures have to imagine or conceive the characters of a foreign religion as being of their ethnicity, or of their ethnicity being important to those characters, which is proof of the role of ethnicity in religious beliefs.
