If you ever make it to Gensokyo, the status of being a human from the outside world is a huuuge point of interest for everyone. I think PMiSS states that explicitly.

And the parties aren't exactly some closed-off affair, even third rate youkai get invited. So you could easily let yourself in, and even if she wouldn't be pleased with your appearance, she's not even allowed to hurt you once you become Gensokyo's resident.

Even if you don't get invited, and can't manage to sneak past Meiling, you could always get a job at the mansion, they hire everyone.

To be honest, if you actually DO go through with your suicide, your way to Gensokyo is going to be long and roundabout.

But if you end up there in the process, and manage to avoid getting eaten at the border, you're have a great opportunity to make some friends in high places because of your status. At least until the novelty wears off.

Once you're a resident of the human village youkai can't hurt you, and unlike other humans you've got the added benefit on not being afraid of them, so you've got an easy way to become someone notable in Gensokyo.
