Why would you need to be looking at a computer monitor while asleep? You can just dream at that point, you don't need a computer. Besides, all I would need is some sort of wireless mouse or gamepad or something and I could control my computer from my bed just fine.

I really can't see audio engineers or video professionals doing their job in smartphone hardware, no matter how powerful it is. Audio engineers or audiophiles have to buy better and multiple audo DACs and interfaces for example. You can do that only with a PC. Same for gamers.
