Baking soda/powder is just a different type of leavening. This and yeast both perform the same function, which is to make baked goods fluffier, they just do it in different ways and give slightly different results.

I've been experimenting with Japanese curry lately, it's actually pretty easy to make if you buy the roux, and it tastes fucking good. Also ends up being pretty cheap for the quality if you make a big batch and are smart about buying meat.

I threw like a quarter can of spam and an uncooked egg into my ramen as it was boiling, drained most of the excess water and threw a slice of provolone on top. It was surprisingly very good. Have used hard salami in place of spam before, I guess any kind of summer sausage could work.

Put "NEET" in your post and it becomes /jp/ related.

Wash and rinse your chicken in cold running water.
Soak 1/4 cup of sweet rice for 1 hour.
Stuff the chicken with the sweet rice, a ginseng root, a few jujubes, and 3-4 cloves of garlic. Place it in a pot.
Pour water into the pot and boil it over high heat for 20 minutes. When it starts boiling, skim off any foam and fat that rises to the surface Then pour in more water and boil it over medium heat for 40 minutes.
When it cooks properly, the chicken will be easily pulled apart by chopsticks.
Serve it with salt and pepper and kimchi or kaktugi.

Real ramen may be good but I've never ate any good premade ramen. And I'm a poor as fuck student who has to eat them for at least half the dishes.

Eggs are amazing. They're cheap and easy to prepare into hundreds of things. They also come out of chicken vaginas.

I eat 2 packs of ramen with 3-5 eggs mixed in the pot at least twice a week, usually more.
