/jp/ do you live in a nice clean room like the Japanese ideal or are you a messy otaku with stuff everywhere?

Would you rather live in the other?

Plan on cleaning any time soon or collecting things?

I feel like I have too much stuff... I've been decluttering for years but it never seems to do any damage. I try to keep things neat but even after working for days to get things looking great, it always looks like a bomb went off at the end of the week. T_____T

>> No.10174329

I have a lot of stuff, but I manage to keep it out of the way somehow. I think it's fine but everyone says it's messy.

I live in a clean simplistic room. I make sure there is no trash anywhere and sweep once a day. Room looks very similar to this.

>> No.10174374

I only have the stuff I need in my room, but because I'm have no money, it's all a collection of random mismatching furniture, mostly old and almost falling apart. Raw wooden floor, covered in stains and chipped in many places, and two walls with paint halfway peeled off don't help it look good either.

I also don't have a clothes closet, so a lot of my clothes hang from the wall on nails.

>> No.10175009

Currently living with my parents as a 19 year old NEET, in the same room I've lived in my entire life.

My parents picked all my furniture out for me when I was little, and they got fairly expensive (for our family, at least) pieces, so replacing anything was never an option: a matching large desk, dresser, and nightstand set. That, combined with the fact that I have pretty conservative taste, makes my room look like it belongs to someone in-between an old man and a young child. I dunno, that's not really a good description. I like my room, but I would have chosen different decor.

When I can support myself and I move out, I probably will go for a more minimalist, Japanese design. I'd like a futon-style mattress, a small desk with no drawers, a nice looking desk chair, a small table for dining, and that's about it. Don't need a TV, don't need any entertainment/books/whatever, don't need crap. Maybe if I pick a really small place, I'll go for a fold-up desk/chair and have my desk and bed occupy the same place.

I could never be a "messy otaku." I make sure to dust and vacuum at least once a week. There's an empty water bottle on the ground next to me, and nothing else. It's really bothering me.

oh boy is this my blog?

My room looks, smells, and feels like a jungle.

There is no item clutter, but I have so many plants growing all over the place that the entire room smells like various different types of plants and soil.

The bottom left side of my room is covered in mushrooms, a row of tall cacti are standing next to the window, everything on the right side of the room is just marijuana and lights, and my computer area is nestled on the top left side of the room and there are multiple fans targeting me since the lights make this room heat up like the Sahara.

>> No.10175023

It's a bit messy; I haven't vacuumed in weeks and my friends' beer bottles are still scattered all about. It wouldn't take more than an hour to get this place squeaky clean.

Though there are a few holes in the drywall that make the place look dumpy. I hid the majority of them with posters. I'm glad that we've grown up past the "let's get absolutely shitfaced and rambunctious" phase.

1) Very clean organized ones

It's a very small room I share with my brother.
It's probably 2.20 wide and 3.20 length. It has a wooden bunk bed and a wrecked desk that used to be of a very sleek office. The floor is always filled with my cellphone cable, my brother's cellphone cable, PSP cable, laptop cable and lamp cable. The only light source we have is a small desk lamp, we always have the curtains closed and there's only one window. We have the walls empty but two high quality printings of Kantoku drawings.
I love it and wouldn't go anywhere else.

It's probably because you're around him all the time.

I noticed that if I'm around people for the weekend or something, I don't feel as compelled to masturbate. If you spent more time alone, you would need to be jacking off all the time. Either that, or you do to much drugs (that includes taking your "prescription medicine") or have brain/sexual-organ damage.

I think you have that backwards.
When I masturbate regularly, I don't even think about sex for more than 20 minutes a day.
When I try to cut back, I cannot stop thinking about it, and end up wasting more time fantasizing without masturbating.

Somewhere between messy and neat.
Neat because all my shit (like books and miscellaneous objects) is organized where I want it to be.
Messy because my bed is almost never made (and I haven't washed the sheets in like two months), my carpet is in really bad need of a cleaning, and there's some socks and underwear scattered around, and I really really need to do some dusting (but just can't be fucked to most of the time).
