And the requirements don't seem like that much more than an average cat. I would be around my room and her all day so I could always attend to her needs when need be. Food, drink, alcohol, affection, warm bed, playtime, etc. I could provide all of those.

People in some stories seem to be able to keep Yukkuris as pets just fine without any trouble.

But if for some reason Yukkuris are extremely fragile, I will go to extreme measures to keep it safe if I need to. I thought I could leave it home for a bit if I need to, but you guys make it seem like it would find some way to kill itself when I am not around.

I would completely dedicate the next five years of my life to keeping my Yukkuri safe and happy if it means I get a chance at having my favorite Touhou come to life. I would devolve into a complete NEET and Hikki life and dedicate all my time to taking care and monitoring her. I would be especially careful around and with her. I could sell my belongings and get food delivered. I'm pretty sure I could manage to truNEET for five years without trouble and mooch from my parents and after she transforms into real Yuugi I could resume my semi-NEET life and actually leave my room. Such a chance is a once in a lifetime thing.
I just thought it would be like a fun, semi-sentient pet but I guess I thought wrong.
