Hyouka and K-ON are entirely different. K-ON is a masterpiece that captures your heart with every scene, Hyouka tries to force some sort of plot and it doesn't really work out that well.

Tell you what, hyouka never had a chance in hell at being a good slice of life, even if they fully acknowledged that they wanted to be one and dropped the silly mystery shit.

If you ask me, they should have just tried to make it a good mystery instead of some horrible shitty sub-mediocre hybrid of both. I don't even know why anyone would make an adaptation of hyouka. Just pick something better.

The fact that so many books still name K-ON "the greatest or most significant or most influential" anime ever only tells you how far anime still is from becoming a serious art.
