Will you go to the Comiket C83?

>> No.10117941

Even though I'm living in Japan and am a weeaboo, I will not be caught at Comiket.

>> No.10117955

I'm sure you didn't go there just to visit every single Shrine and Temple.

>> No.10117958

Why?

>> No.10117981

>>10117958
Partly because I'm only technically in Japan. A plane ticket from Okinawa is expensive. Mostly because being in Japan doesn't make me any less of a timid shutin than I was in America.

>> No.10117982

Yeah let's go to Akiba too, that's where "otaku" go, right? :D

When I was a teenager, I promised my little sister that I'd take us on a trip to Japan someday, as we were both quite the weeaboos

In the years since our adulthood, we've drifted apart. Even though I would love to go to Comiket one day if only to purchase albums from the artists I so love, it would bring back too many painful memories. I do not think I'll ever end up actually going

>> No.10117995

Already went to 2comiket and 1reitaisai. Enough is enough. I left Japan and is much happier now, it is a shit country.

>> No.10118002

Gosh, it'd be nice. This way, in the winter, people wouldn't sweat as much...I think.

You were likely bullied passive aggressively for being a subhuman non-Jap Asian or non-Aryan white.

>> No.10118025

Why would you want to go there? It's like wanting to go to ComicCon. It's just a bunch of normals.

>> No.10118026

There's way too many people at comiket than I'd be comfortable with

>> No.10118038

>>10118008
I guess that isnt too far from the truth.
I did get bullied massively at my workplace so I gave them the fuck you and left.

Basically I get assigned some task.
I need to provide solutions and shit.
So I did everything and we do an internal review before submitting it to our client. In the internal review, I get bashed and shit on. The bashing is 1000x worse than 4chan bullying.
And when I try to get help from these senpais, they always go NO TIME, do it yourself, why do you think we hired you blah blah blah. Why you no provide any value to our company blah blah blah.

>> No.10118076

I think it's like that for everyone there.

I'm going and I'm going to have a great time. I like way too many small circles/genres whose stuff never gets sold outside of Comiket, and I honestly enjoyed my first natsucomi this year, so it's worth it to me. At the very least I'll be able to talk with the nice lady in Dwarf Sunflowers and hopefully admire the one cute Liarsoft booth guy from afar again.

I would love to go someday and give my favourite artists all my money.

I know there is far from Tokyo, but Okinawa is the most famous prefecture for beautiful sea in Japan
I want to visit there too

I was going to but the world if gonna end on the 21st and I want to be in glorious Amerika when I go out with a blaze

I'm in Osaka right now though which is nice

No. Quite jaded from last comiket I went to (C81). Magical long queues even before 10 AM, goods ran out when there were only two people in front of me. Many commercial booths have online order before or after comiket, and many doujinshi from big circles would be available the following day in toranoana. I have enough merchandises inside my room. So I just don't see the point of going there anymore. I'd rather go to smaller events.

Yeah. I never really got why people still meet up there to buy shit.
I mean, sure. Up to the nineties, without internet and a lot less people interested in the scene, that might've been the best way if you wanted to get some good stuff, but nowadays you might just as well order stuff online instead of mangling with lots of sweaty people.

I should, and one of these days, I'll probably quit dragging my knuckles and do so

Then she can politely decline, my heart can shatter into a trillion pieces as my fears about being a distant and useless brother come full circle to make us have the same type of annoying relationship distant uncles and aunts have with their nieces and nephews, which I always feared, and I can finally be ready to just commit suicide after my parents keel over

I'll be up in Tokyo for about a week around New Years, so I guess it's possible for me to go. I'm not sure I have any reason to though. I'm not following a lot of anime lately and I'm not interested in other hugely popular things like Touhou. There's probably very little there I'd want..

I'm not sure if it's true or not, but I remember reading in some thread that somebody that borrowed money and promised to pay back never did so.
I've never experienced it myself, c82 went well, so hopefully somebody with more /jp/ meetup experience could enlighten us.
