Partly because I'm only technically in Japan. A plane ticket from Okinawa is expensive. Mostly because being in Japan doesn't make me any less of a timid shutin than I was in America.

When I was a teenager, I promised my little sister that I'd take us on a trip to Japan someday, as we were both quite the weeaboos

In the years since our adulthood, we've drifted apart. Even though I would love to go to Comiket one day if only to purchase albums from the artists I so love, it would bring back too many painful memories. I do not think I'll ever end up actually going

Already went to 2comiket and 1reitaisai. Enough is enough. I left Japan and is much happier now, it is a shit country.

Gosh, it'd be nice. This way, in the winter, people wouldn't sweat as much...I think.

Basically I get assigned some task.
I need to provide solutions and shit.
So I did everything and we do an internal review before submitting it to our client. In the internal review, I get bashed and shit on. The bashing is 1000x worse than 4chan bullying.
And when I try to get help from these senpais, they always go NO TIME, do it yourself, why do you think we hired you blah blah blah. Why you no provide any value to our company blah blah blah.

I'm going and I'm going to have a great time. I like way too many small circles/genres whose stuff never gets sold outside of Comiket, and I honestly enjoyed my first natsucomi this year, so it's worth it to me. At the very least I'll be able to talk with the nice lady in Dwarf Sunflowers and hopefully admire the one cute Liarsoft booth guy from afar again.

I would love to go someday and give my favourite artists all my money.

No. Quite jaded from last comiket I went to (C81). Magical long queues even before 10 AM, goods ran out when there were only two people in front of me. Many commercial booths have online order before or after comiket, and many doujinshi from big circles would be available the following day in toranoana. I have enough merchandises inside my room. So I just don't see the point of going there anymore. I'd rather go to smaller events.

/jp/ meetups are basically what you would expect of /jp/ers, but all of the guys I met at c82 were on the better side. I had a good time despite my social awkwardness a round normals. Though, I've heard some previous ones have had a few bad apples here and there.
