Hey, /jp/!
Do you have a preference of certain remixes of Touhou music in regards of genre? I really enjoy Jazz versions of Touhou music, even though I usually do not like jazz at all normally.

>> No.10104835

I usually can't tell if something is a remix of touhou. I have like 60 GB of music that would be considered doujin, and I like all of it.

Just pop is fine, but jazz is nice. So are piano solos. There's too many of those to listen to though.

>> No.10104834

I liked that big jazz torrent a /jp/er uploaded, though I'm not usually a fan of jazz either (unless the SimCity soundtracks count).

On the opposite end of things, I usually love cheesy eurodance, but I don't like groups like A-One or NJK Record.

>> No.10104848

Ah yes, simple piano solos are great. Many circles manage to keep the intensity of the music even with one piano.

>> No.10104890

Nice try secondary but even primaries take their time to listen to remixes instead of just listening to the original music like an actual secondary would.

I don't really listen to electronic music at all outside of touhou, more because I wouldn't really know where to start than lack of interest though.

There are some trance songs I really like, and recently I enjoyed some hardstyle on /jp/ radio.

In general I'm more of a rock/punk/folk/pop person.

I share your feelings on the hardcore metal and electronic shit, dude.

I'm sitting at my table browsing /jp/, not fucking riding a dragon through a hail of bullets and I'd like the music to reflect that.

Metal is generally something I only listen to Touhou for, I think. Sweet hell, Foreground Eclipse.

Other than that, pop, acoustic, and orchestral are nice.

I don't have a preferred genre when it comes doujin music. I will like almost anything other than majority of the "jazz" stuff that /jp/ wets itself over and hardcore/gabber.

On the other hand, the only non-doujin music I listen to, which I do very rarely, is death metal.

It doesn't seem all that popular amongst the people of /jp/ but I actually prefer vocals on my arranges. It makes me feel more like I'm listening to actually songs rather than just remixed video game music. I remember hating vocals since the age of 5. It might be an autism thing.

>> No.10105848

I have found that Touhou themes in general lend themselves very easily to Techno and Trance remixes, which makes me happy.
Orchestrations can be good (usually pretty epic, which I like).
I can't say I typically like Jazz or Vocal remixes, but every now and then one tickles my fancy.

I maid.

I listen to certain kind of remixes depending on my mood.

I have several playlists, some of them soothing, and others for when I want to feel like I'm riding a dragon through a hail of bullets. I even have some dedicated solely to boost my STG performance.

And well, in the end I like most kinds of music, except really hardcore stuff like growl or stuff like reggae.

I hate how everybody on 4chan falls under most of these categories regarding music:
• listens exclusively to OSTs
• listens exclusively to soulless bleep bloops
• listens exclusively to metal or other forms of aimless noise
• listens to fucking awful borecore /mu/ groups (Of Montreal, GY!BE, Mogwai, Kanye West, etc.)
• obsessed with Fisher-Price dadrock (Queen, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, etc.)
• "I'm a jazz man myself. Miles, Coltrane, the list goes on..."
• "I'm a fan of electronic music. Aphex Twin, Daft Punk, the list goes on... Wait, what do you mean they had synthesizers before the '80s?"
• "My tastes are pretty eclectic. I listen to classic rock, alternative rock, progressive rock, psychedelic rock, punk rock, hard rock, glam rock, and pop rock. Did I mention roll?"
• "I don't like pop music because the lyrics are always vapid and dull, totally unlike myself."
• "No, I don't bother listening to anything recorded before 1965. Is there something wrong with that?"

These are the most prominent stereotypes that pop in my head. If you fall into any of them, I hate you.
