I'll post another picture bellow for comparison. If we go by the panels in OSP, Reimu is taller than Marisa, Sakuya is taller than Reimu, and Youmu is shorter than all of them. But in SWR's sprites Youmu is taller than Marisa and also about the same size as Reimu, while in OSP Reimu is WAY bigger than her.

Point is, not even ZUN cares, don't bother him about it and imagine them whatever way you want. Also Aya is one of the tallest if we go by SWR's sprites.

One thing that I didn't remember about it is how deeply swayed by the youkai the child of Miare is right now. I wonder if Shikieiki will lecture her about it, but by PMiSS time, Akyuu was very happy that she has long-lived friends now, because that eased the loneliness she feels. This makes her participation in the Symposium perfectly understandable. She wants in everything that involves peaceful relationships with the youkai (which is basically a 180 degree turn from her original purpose).

I've been reading WaHH now and it occurred to me that "the actual truth" is pretty much irrelevant. It's part of Gensokyo's common sense that youkai must attack humans and humans must exterminate youkai or "things won't be right". It's just one of those things that everybody knows there.

We can argue endlessly if it really needs to be like that, and people inside Gensokyo probably wonder if they really must be such gratuitous jerks just to keep the tradition, but until people seriously challenge that common sense and the barrier starts to falter as a result, nobody will know if that's true or not.
