I wanted to play Melty Blood but I am terrible at fighting games so I gave up and moved onto other things.

I was playing this, but ran into a confusing bug. I beat all 8 levels, got to "pick one of the 4 new stages" and quit. Then re-used my code for clearing all 8 levels, and ended up on the "dr wily" level, bypassing the 4 new stages.

So I'm not sure what to do. Replay from 7 clears maybe, so I get to play those 4 levels that just vanished.

Sorry, doujin shooters are barrage only, no fun allowed. I really wish there were more of the type of shooters where power ups flew around and let you collect them to change your attacks. You're lucky to have alt-fire modes usually.

Try Trouble witches if you haven't. They have lots of special attacks you can choose from at least.

I like Mystical Chain, but it's just standard Touhou-as-X-genre.

Kwarurariru is one I just started playing recently. You can raped by the trees which makes finishing the first level without dying very difficult. (Not because they're hard to avoid but because it's tough not to let her get raped to death every chance you get).
