I'm a huge MEIKO fan. She really does need more love. Her append goes a long way toward helping with that. Really, though, I honestly prefer her original voice. It's really hard to use well, but I noticed that it works really well with Tsugai Kogarashi. I can't think of any similar style songs she's done off the top of my head (or even if she's done similar songs at all), but her voice really shines in that one.

They originally did it for Miku because her default voice was too happy but it was a hit so they decided to do it more.

All this stuff was supposed to happen in V2 era but since V3 came so quickly they had to push it back.

German is a good language if you need something rough and angry-sounding. Most languages can fit a certain set of moods and are useful for certain genres of music. There are some exceptions--English, for example, has too many root languages to fit just one mood. Its usefulness comes from its large pool of words to choose from--you can find something to rhyme with nearly everything, most words have synonyms, etc. You don't have to like the sound of German, but you do have to admit that it, like almost every language, has its own usefulness in music.

It has potential. If some Producers are willing to put work in it it could very well be the first occasion for Vocaloids to have a breakthrough in english-speaking countries as actual music softwares and not just another weeaboo trend.
