I don't really have enough energy to care all that much. But I will state it again, splitting the VN community was fucking stupid. We had a /vn/ board, and now it's all scattered.

Granted that having /v/ browser frequent /jp/ would surely have messed things up some, but this was no improvement and we no longer have a designated VN board.

>It's being revised, which means it's moving backwards
The leaked patch is pretty horrible though. This revision has been a long needed and awaited one.

Does no one remember when everyone but those new to the translation scene simply laughed at the project with its shady status reports? There was no way that they would have broken the speed record by almost 100% compared to guys like Ixrec and Aroduc.

The project was naive from the start. But I hold them in high regard for actually sticking with it rather than simply dropping it by the end of the anime adaptation as many predicted. A quality product was promised, and if they keep working at it like this, it might become a reality some day.

Well sure. But Steins;Gate is a high profile work. And it was far from ready for release.
While on that matter though, Blick recognized his own translation as premature, but by the end of the anime the others in the project released their latest beta patch in order to save themselves some e-fame before the franchise was forgotten by the anime crowd.

The patch was premature. It was a bad translation for a high profile work.

It wasn't Ixrec that banned Moogy, it was his slut Sheeta. Ixrec didn't even get mad because of the comment that ended up getting Moogy banned, and it wasn't particularly rude. I don't understand why it warranted a ban. Pretty dumb move too since Amaterasu forums died the moment his Majesty was banned.
