The Japanese language doesn't have letters.

>> No.1002648

Maybe 10 or so.

I haven't taken any classes or tried to learn online. So yeah.

I filled in what, maybe most of the first blue block and it says I can read 460 kanji... This seems really suspect to me.

Why count when the computer programs tell you? Silly.

>> No.1003683

I know 521 kanji. I used to know 523, but I forgot two. Don't ask me which those were, I forgot.

池 & 長?

Quiz tells me somewherea round 580-600, and I'd say it's probably about right, considering the way I'm learning kanji is more like learning vocab, not individual characters.

If i were learning characters, I'd be able to make more compounds, and hence I'd be able to recognize a lot more.

I'm learning Korean. Koreans don't use Chinese characters anymore, they use Hangul which is super-easy to learn.

Enjoy struggling with your Heisig dictionaries and whatnot. I'll be banging hot Korean chicks.
