No, I see Mokou as the captain of some sports team, and as such, is popular and respected. Walking out of the locker room after a refreshing shower following a tough practice, I saw Kaguya standing around, looking as if she was there for no real purpose at all.

"Hey, Otakuga!," I yelled out at her, using her nickname earned around school. The girl jerked her head up abruptly, and seeing it was me who had called to her, stared coldly.

"What're you doing here? Haven't you got better things to do, like be at home playing video games or browsing forums or something?," I sneeringly asked her.

"I'm waiting for someone," She replied, having taken her stare off my face and now gazing intensely out at the sunset.

Detentions... I hate getting detentions. I never did anything wrong, it's just I always end up in with situations with other people, you know? Today Tewi, that little freshman, was chasing Reisen around with a meter stick. Jeez... I just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, but anyways, it ended up with me accidently (I swear...) tripping Tewi and of course, her being younger, I got in trouble for it. So here I am, all alone in this classroom, as the sky fades to orange outside and my precious free time grows shorter and shorter.

I sigh and open up one of my school books. Fifty math problems isn't even a punishment for me, but one-hundred, ze... Problem one was easy. Problem two, mediocre. By now I'm almost at problem twenty. I slowly lose attention and start to scribble stars over my paper. If only I could just grab a broom and fly out the window to freedom. But that's crazy thinking, ze. I bite the end of my pen and lean back into my chair.

The door to the classroom slides open, startling me where I almost fall right to the ground. It's that lazy red-white who sits next to me. She's always copying my notes and sleeping during class. I can only wonder what she has a detention for.

What? What does she mean by that? I'm just frustrated is all. Damnit... I must look really stupid because I'm twirling my hair with my fingers. It's a bad habit when I'm stressed.

I don't know if its the setting sun or what, but the way she's looking at me like she's discovered this huge secret about me, the way she's smirking and the way her... why is she getting up? She stood up from her chair and came considerably closer to me. And now her hand is on my shoulder. I'm not hypersensitive or anything but having some stranger this close. I mean, I can practically smell her hair. I'm not going out of my way to pick up that scent or anything.

"No I'm not, its the lights playing tricks ze." I quickly advert my eyes to my paper. Crap, only ten questions done. Why is she being such a distraction? She slowly snakes her other hand behind my neck and laces her fingers together. I'm frozen.

I want to implode, or throw my book at her, or run or, or something but I'm looking straight at her eyes are gleaming mischievously. She leans in even closer. My heart is pounding so hard that my chest feels like it's made of porcelain and it'll shatter at any moment. The hair on the back of my neck stands up. My ear. She's nibbling on my ear. I don't know why but it's making me breathe in long, stuttering breaths. It feels... good. Damnit.

"W-What are you doing?!" Everything is spinning. I have to look at her but I can't.

"Now I know its not a trick of the light, your face is bright red."

She's breathing on me intentionally. Every exhale sends another wave of shivers down my back. I don't know where this is going. And I almost feel like I want it to go further.

"Can I..." she growls into my ear, dragging her hand down across my shoulder and towards my chest.

"Can you what?" I barely manage to breathe out.

"Can I... borrow this?" she says with a sudden change of tone. She isn't touching me anymore. I look in her hand and there is a piece of notebook paper. My work. God damn this girl.

"No!" I shout, pushing her away as she laughs, holding my paper behind her back.

"You're so lazy! And everything! And why would you do that ze?!" I can feel the blood pounding in my head. Really, what was that all about?! I step forward and grab her arm. "Give me the paper."

"Take it from me." she answers, accompanied by a yawn. Like she's bored by me, or something! I can't control myself. I push her down onto the desk and hold myself over her, my hands keeping her wrists from pushing me off. She's genuinely blushing now. I-I think... I think I want to kiss her. I lean in. I'm so I'm breathing her breath. I don't care what I'm doing anymore.

"Marisa Kirisame, that's another detention!" What?! I snap out of whatever daze I was in and look towards the door. Oh god, it's my homeroom teacher. I'm at a loss for words.

The red-white girl stoop up and grabbed her bag. I look back at the teacher and she is fuming ""I-I... She! And then..." Here I am, in trouble for no reason. Again.

"Well, goodbye." the girl says, and just leaves. Just like that. I feel like I'm going to pull my braid out. I go to my desk to grab my things and see she left my paper. I smooth out the paper and notice a handwriting that isn't my own.

'I'll see you in detention tomorrow.

I waited the rest of the lunch break at the table waiting for Marisa to come back. Even though I always tell her it's no different if she sits with me or not... (like I say, there's no reason a popular girl like her would sit with an otaku like me) today's lunch tasted very bland.

When Mokou was finally exhausted, the pair stood in the ruins of the mall, knee--deep in a golden lake. Piss mixed with shoppers' blood rained down from what was left of the ceiling. Too embarrassed to even move, she offered no resistance as the neet shoved her head underwater and drowned Mokou in her own piss. The neet whipped out her cell phone and called Cirno, informing the fairy of a whole new lake that just formed that she can play in.

Why is it so amusing to put the Touhou personalities in different situations? Yukkuri, cows, imagining them in high school, power rangers, the whole nine yards... this is why I like Touhou so much

Reimu would be the lazy carefree student where most subjects in class come naturally to her despite the fact she never seems to try very hard. She sees school work as a bother and was elected class president through nominations she didn't even ask for, occasionally requiring she does extra work to get the other students in line.

Marisa would be a close friend of Reimu's and she would also look like the high achiever doing well in both her studies and sports. Where Reimu treats everything as troublesome, Marisa is does things with style in order to amuse herself and others. She often helps Reimu out with her duties as class president and treats it less as a bother but as a excuse to get around and enjoy herself with her charismatic and slightly crazy self. Where Reimu is popular for her strength of character to get things done (despite her reputation for being lazy) Marisa is liked because she's a laugh. At home, Marisa studies hard to keep her position in the school ranks, but she doesn't like people to know she puts effort into it.

Alice would be a loner both by choice and situation. She has a reputation for being something of a figurine freak and is often seen as rather intense about it, as such she's the one and only member left in the crafts club where she spends her time making clothes and accessories for her dolls. Some students have tried to bully Alice in the past; firstly not getting any response from her as she ignored their teasing, then getting a extremely violent response from her when they knocked one of her figures to the ground. Most keep their distance now. Alice seems to prefer the company of the figures, but lately Marisa has been dragging her into more conversations after a argument they had while looking into a theft. She can now occasionally be seen hanging out with Reimu and Marisa, but still clings to her independence.

Patchy is the token sickly girl, occasionally missing lessons because she isn't feeling too well and always skipping sports due to her condition. Regardless, Patchy has extremely good scores in her lessons attributed to the fact she spends all her free time in the school library or reading some book or another. She seems to learn everything from reading and rarely gets involved in the class or attempts to learn things from experience. Like Sakuya she's been known to hang out with the Scarlet sisters to help tutor the younger sister. Occasionally she'll talk to Marisa about their studies, if only because Marisa is always borrowing her books without asking and she's one of the few outside people who constantly come into contact with her at the library.

Sakuya is the tall refined girl in the class that seems to mostly keep to herself and does rather well across the board in all her studies. To other students she is often cold, uncaring and either ignores them outright to doesn't offer up much of a reply. This changes considerably with Remilia, a short girl in the class with a extremely strong arrogant personality who insists she's the best, often clashing with Reimu due to stirring trouble. Perhaps due to the Scarlet sisters circumstances or some past event; Sakuya is extremely loyal to the two of them and because the two are living alone in their rich mansion Sakuya is often seen with them helping them cope, cooking the two of them extra lunches for school and sticking up for them regardless of who is in the wrong. There seems to be some respect between Sukuya and Reimu, but it never goes any further due to her unquestionable loyalty to Remilia.

Remilia and Flandre Scarlet are sisters at the school, both living alone in their parents mansion while they are overseas, both extremely spoiled by their lifestyle. Remilia is a arrogant girl, short but easily able to make up for it with athletic ability and strength of character. She thinks she knows everything and because she's good at her studies she often gets it right. Constantly competing with Reimu in sports it only further annoys her that despite the girls lazy attitude she still seems to win in races, because of this she's rather obsessed with Reimu and showing she's better. At first causing trouble for Reimu, eventually Remilia settled down some and started to kind of respect Reimu to the point of inviting her over to her house now and again. Flandre Scarlet is the younger sister, often kept under the thumb of Remilia despite having her own talents in sports. Unlike her sister who is just arrogant though, Flandre will often tantrum when she doesn't get what she wants and destroy anything in the area. She has since settled down a little after Marisa put her in her place, now Marisa will occasionally come around to play with her.

Cirno is the class idiot. While she isn't terrible at sports, she's often bragging she's better and smarter then everyone else despite her low grades. She doesn't like to study and instead prefers to play around with some of the others, often ignoring her studies entirely. She likes to play jokes on people but unfortunately the jokes are often so predictable that people turn them around on her, earning her the title of class idiot.

Keeping her computer club background you could expand on Mokou's hate further by saying that Kaguya is from a noble family in a different area of the world and that Mokou's family was disgraced by Kaguya's family at some point in the past. When Mokou notices Kaguya at school she starts to bully Kaguya (going back to GRR NERD) and to start with Kaguya takes it biding her time before Mokou attacks her properly, she then puts Mokou down due to the fact her family makes sure she can defend herself and then JUST AS PLANNED she puts Mokou in her place resulting in hate sex and humiliation.

Later after this loops several times Mokou's own efforts to learn pay off and she reverses the situation, and it becomes one long competition to be the one on top humiliating the other.

Kaguya is the heir of a well-off family (princess) who has just moved to the area, is the new girl in school (came from the moon), and has no friends save for Eirin, who's known her before (duh) and some people that are friends of her family and Eirin, but don't really like her (Reisen, Tewi).

Eirin's a higher year, so she doesn't see Kaguya that much and while Kaguya is alone a lot, Mokou, a smoking bad-ass girl from the neighbouring class has picked her as a target for bullying. She's not really detested, but when the badass loner everyone secretly fears (Mokou) kicks her ass, the other classmates join into the bullying and keep their distance from her.

Because of this, Kaguya is bitter and weak, and spends a lot of time alone playing games and posting to 2ch/4chan. Mokou secretly has the hots for her and has picked her as the target just because of this. Then one day when she's bullying Kaguya again on the way to home from school, Kaguya snaps and fights back. In the ensuing fistfight, Mokou kisses Kaguya and things go on from there.

Being a class idiot, Cirno has lots of friends. Just girls that are drawn to him for entertainment.

Daiyousei's a small, refined girl who stands out for Cirno anytime and anywhere. She's from a poor family, but refined and very gentle, always standing out for others and trying to stop people when they're causing trouble. She tends to stutter when angry or intimidated, there's nothing she fears more than getting into trouble so she's very diligent.

Wriggle is the boy in the class who's always hanging with the girls (i.e. Cirno, Daiyousei and Mystia), who everyone things is a bit fruity but since he isn't open with it, isn't bothered by anyone. However, the boys in class keep a bit of distance from him. Wriggle's seen to cross-dress and wear the girls' school uniform occasionally, his friends love it, everyone else thinks it's abit weird.

Mystia's the goth chick who's always rambling about the latest news from MTV and listening to the newest albums from her iPod. When she's not hanging out with Cirno's group, she's practicing with the school band (she's the only girl in the band). Whenever there's a happening of any sort in the school, Mystia ensures the band's performing and she's singing. Teachers have complained about her unorthodox and sometimes a bit rowdy goth attire, so she's toned it down somewhat.

It's also worth noting that whatever bullying she may do to Kaguya is in her mind justified as revenge for some act against her family. Kaguya herself isn't that bad a person, she hates the posh girl for some slight against her family. Meanwhile Kaguya herself while she doesn't often go out of her way to bully Mokou, she does provoke her in other ways like sending people after her and generally acting like a bit of a bitch.

I don't get where this nice Kaguya comes from. She's just as bad as any other Touhou, scheming and provocative using round about ways to deny people something. When confessed to she didn't just say 'no thanks', she gives them impossible tasks to win her over with.

Mokou herself of course has her own issues, in the main story her reasons for wanting to kill Kaguya are kind of petty. We hear her father was disgraced but I'm not sure if it's canon he committed suicide.

The band's the only musical establishment in the school, but the Prismriver triplets are involved with the city's orchestra. Mystia knows them and hangs out with them sometimes, although the sisters' taste in music isn't exactly metal and punk as with Mystia. Prismrivers have an older sister who went to this same school some years before they came in, their family is relatively well-off and owns a large mansion at the outskirts of the town. Save for Mystia and the Saigyouji heir (the Prismriver family is close friends with the Saigyoujis), the sisters mostly prefer their own company.

Yuyuko's a slightly aloof, spoiled mut extremely smart child from one of the families owning a large amount of real estate in the town. She's very popular and often holds parties and flower-viewings at their summer cottage with a large garden not far from the town.

Saigyouji family has practically assigned the child of their servants, Youmu to watch out for Yuyuko and keep her in line. The junior, Youmu, is a member of the local fencing and kendo clubs, and very strict and reserved person. She's determined to keeping Yuyuko in line and having her act like her age and stature. Mostly to no avail, though.

Sanae is the foreign exchange student that arrived recently and hasn't had a chance to make many friends yet. She studies hard, gets good grades but is otherwise not incredibly noteworthy. She wants to befriend Reimu and company, but wasn't received very well. Uncouth rumors were spread, and now nobody wants to be friends with Sanae because her reputation is ruined.

Despite being a usually outgoing person, she doesn't like to talk about her family.

If Cirno's the class idiot who's always the center of attention with her stupid antics, Rumia is the slow countryside girl who moved into town this fall. She's out of it most of the time, and when addressed about stuff she doesn't know, tends to say "Is that so?" a lot. Lately she's been accepted into Cirno's inner circle, being like the minion who follows the boss constantly and laughs at her every joke.

Yukari's the beauty queen of the class, who always dresses better than anyone else, sometimes up to the point of bringing a parasol to the school. She's smart and good at sports, but doesn't seem to care about school much, assured that her natural abilities will take her wherever she wants in life. Yukari has a younger sister named Chen, who she sometimes gets from daycar and brings to school. Chen's unbelieveably adorable, and when she's around, every girl in the class will be there to cuddle her. Yukari's mother Ran is extremely fussy about her and little sister Chen, and often comes to pick up them from the school with a car. Yukari's known Yuyuko since childhood. The beauty queen and the ditzy rich girl make up the school's most admired duo.

I can imagine the Yukumo family working like the Sœur system in Marimite with Yukari being the most senior of the three in the student counsel and Ran as her petite sœur doing all the actual work. Ran would have chosen Chen as her petite sœur entirely because she's adorable and Ran wanted to protect her.

Yukari would probably be kind of like Reimu, only even more lazy. Extremely good grades in her year, but spends most her time sleeping and ignoring her duties in the student counsel. Ran would be hard working, high achieving for her year and basically covering for all the work Yukari doesn't do actually running things, but if people give Ran trouble Yukari will suddenly get very active and back her up completely, followed by scolding Ran for letting it get that bad. Chen would have mostly average grades in her junior year and would spend most her time playing with friends being mostly carefree. She has very little duties because they don't trust her with them yet, but they look after her and Ran tutors her to keep up her grades, otherwise protects her innocence. Starting trouble with any of them starts trouble with all of them making them a rather formidable power in the school. When Yukari isn't slacking off she's usually bothering Reimu or talking with her friend Yuyuko. She makes extremely odd yet often effective decisions on the counsel (carried out by Ran more often then not) and has a very strange sense of humour. Occasionally jokingly hits on other girls.

If there's something happening, Aya knows it. You know the girl in your class that's always gossiping about everyone, it's Aya. She likes spreading rumors and butting in conversations to know what's up. Everyone knows her, everyone gets along with her, but she has few close friends.

Aya's little sister Momizi is on the junior year and looks up to her sister, even though most of the girls call Aya a slut. Either because of the rumors that she puts out easily or because they did something embarrassing - and Aya told everyone about it. Few are open about it though, just in case Aya has some dirt on them. Regardless of this, Momizi gets very angry when people demean Aya though, and just last week, she got detention for hitting another junior who said Aya was seen sucking the cock of the local computer class teacher, ZUN.

It's probably just rumors though.

Her family is filthy rich and she's throughly spoiled. Kaguya gets a new computer with the best benchmarks every single year and owns more manga than the rest of the students combined. She doesn't do that bad at school, but no-one really knows where she's really good at. That is, making retarded photoshops to post in image boards and drawing lesbian and futa doujins. She can also solo two opponents in Starcraft and consistently has a pseudonym that's in the top-10 of Supreme Commander world ranking ladder.

Most of the school's constantly bullying Kaguya. She's NEETeryo or OTAKUga to everyone but Eirin, the school nurse, who's taken a liking to the solitary girl and can see behind her spoiled demeanor. Eirin is in charge of physical education classes for the girls, but also holds sex. ed. yearly. For most of the pubescent boys in the school, her womanly demeanor and big bust is the constant number one sexual fantasy.

Aya says Eirin secretly likes this and has don something inapproperiate with the male students years back, but you can't believe everything Aya says can you?

There's one girl who everyone in the school fears - this includes the boys. This person is Mokou. She's a chain-smoking badass the father of which she's probably never seen, her overworked mother never could never instill any kind of decency to her manners, and Mokou does whatever she wants, whenever she wants. If someone tells on Mokou, she beats them up. Even some teachers, especially the small Miss Suwako, seem to fear her. Mokou's number one target is Kaguya, who she pesters daily. However, deep down she's rather insecure, and the reason for picking on Kaguya is, that she likes her. As things are, hell would freeze over before she admitted it.

Even Aya doesn't know.

Miss Suwako Kotiya is the literature teacher who also holds writing club for the few people who desire to be writers (as of now, this only yncludes Akyu and Aya). She's Sanae's mother, but they've agreed to be quiet about this, mostly because she's only the other mother of Sanae. Kanako being the other, she's a corporate businesswoman who works endlessly and is more masculine than the majority of her paper-pushing coworkers. The agreed silence comes from Sanae getting bullied out of her mind in the last school she attended. Sadly, it's bound to start again when everyone buys into Remilia's stories that her mothers are two dykes.

Cirno's not the only child. Actually, there's five in her family. In this same school, that includes the Minoriko Sisters sisters, Aki, the junior, and Shizuha, the second-year. They're not related by blood, but rather step-sisters from when Cirno's mother Letty remarried. It's rather unclear how close Cirno is with Minoriko's, but they're definetely very close with each other. Both are devout members of the gardening club and keep a garden patch and some flowers at the school grounds.

Letty also has children from the new marriage, but they're young and no-one can really spell their names right so they just call them Lily White and Lily Black after their directly opposing personalities. Lilies can mostly be found in the nearby kidergarten (the same one Chen's in), and Cirno sometimes looks after them, although Letty knows better than to let someone as irresponsible as her have any real responsibility. Mostly, the Minoriko sisters have them and Chen play in the school grounds. Everyone likes them.

Mokou generally has no opponents. Save for Hong Meiling. They have an on-off rivalry for the baddest guy in the school. Although if Mokou's the bully, China (no-one calls her by her real name) is the stupid but friendly athlete who stands up for the weak. This would probably have never been found out unless Mokou tried bullying the Scarlet sisters once, and ended up having an epic fight with China, who for some reason, looks up to the Scarlets'. No-one really knows why, especially because Remilia mostly treats her like trash - just like everyone else. If China was a guy, she'd be the school jock. Aya claims she puts out easily, but in truth, 99% of the guys in school are afraid of her and she's too thick to notice the rest.

Despite her demeanor, Mokou's not the number one person who's spending time in detention at the school. Not by far, that number one place is held by the unbelieveably energetic junior, Tewi. Cirno's the clown, Tewi's the guy who puts the jokes into practice. They both claim to be the funniest guy in school, but Cirno's generally more liked because people laugh at her - Tewi laughs at you. The chick that put glue in your seat, Tewi. Your bicycle's brakes have been sabotaged today, it's Tewi. The teachers hate her, she loves it.

Her sister, Reisen's constantly pulling her hair and trying to keep her out of trouble. In all honesty, it's just the same if she never tried at all. Tewi doesn't respect her elder sister one bit, and neither does anyone else in school. It's not like Reisen's bullied like Kaguya, it's just that no-one listens to her and whatever she tries, it fails. Reisen's the only girl even Kaguya can sometimes snap at. People assume this is because Tewi's been wrecking her nerves for all her childhood.

Aya claims to have pictures of Reisen dressed up as a bunnygirl. If this is true and how it came to happen, no-one knows. But Reisen seems to be genuinely scared of Aya.

hm... some of the later ones here seems to be making their own shit up entirely to fit it in. Originally I was aiming to take the canon plot for each character and make only minor changes to fit it into a mundane school anime setting.

Still kind of works, but the whole Aya is rumoured to suck ZUNs cock and attaching some unrelated characters into families moves it away from the Touhou series into a school setting with each character only similar in name.

Nevermind, I guess if people like it then cool enough, but I kind of liked the challenge of using existing canon and fitting it into a different genre without changing too much.

Aside from phys. ed. teacher / nurse Eirin, literature teacher Suwako and computer class teacher ZUN, the school has other notable staff members.

Ms. Siki is the small and frail, but extremely strict principal. She's known to stand in for pretty much every class if other teachers are absent, but most of the time she teaches math. Everyone fears miss Eiki, even some of the other teachers. She has a particular love-to-hate relationship with ms. Komachi Onozuka, the teacher for art and music. Miss Onozuka mostly doesn't do any teaching in her classes, in her opinion, art and music are about letting the students express themselves freely (in reality, art or music is generally considered an extra break by now). No-one knows why Komachi hasn't been fired yet, there's been some rumors about something nasty between her and miss Eiki, but people who know what's good for them keep their mouths shut.

Ah, sorry for butting in. I tried to preserve the general outlines of the characters, but I guess I failed somewhat. Also, it's hard or impossible to think some of the characters (notably: Letty, Siki, Kanako and Ran) as children. They'd have to be either mothers or teachers in a high school setting.

I can see characters as teachers fitting, though I can imagine just fitting some of them into a senior student role seeing as anime high school has all sorts of varieties for how mature or childlike you want your characters.

It's more stuff like attaching characters who aren't really related to one another into a family. I can get where they are coming from with Aki and Shizuha, but the link is tenuous a best because they are all aspects of nature.

That said, I know it's tough in parts because some characters don't fit in very well or outright have very little information about them beyond what fanon has decided like Daiyousei.

But yeah, don't mind people going down the fanon routes for the personalities, I was just noting how it's different from what I intended. Fanon wouldn't be as popular if people didn't like it to some degree. Though personally I've always loved characters like Alice as they were originally writen (as opposed to ronery desperate Alice).
