The daily j-list facebook was a way for him to test the waters.
It's already known that buckley posts his own comics on /v/ as advertisement, and now he's doing it on other boards. There are other daily threads going on on boards like /g/ and /a/, which are another way of him to test the board's response to this so he can expand is readerbase on 4chan. His webcomics no longer have a serious basis on just videogames, and coupled with the fact that people on 4chan don't usually browse every other popular board, he found this opportunity.
My suggestion for the moderators would be perma ban anyone who posts this stuff on 4chan altogether, similar to how CP and that other anonymous talk chan copy that wanted this traffic is now.
