hmmm no, never really weirded me out at all - in fact if I was fit enough, I'd love to do it myself - kinda like transvestitism without homosexual connotations - but maybe thats just me.

>>672
is another one I like - I think its more that a lot of kigurumi pics just arnt good 'pics' if you know what I mean.

>> No.885 [View]

>>812
yeah, I think I know what you mean - it works for people who cant cosplay the character (for reasons of gender, physicality what have you) but have the will and passion - and as you say, respect for the character,

hehe fun!

Just thinking there, I grew up with things like the banana splits etc - is there a gap in 'western kigurumi'-esque between there and say, tweenies/teletubbies etc. - or is it just my substance addled brain?

now i think on it - didnt sesame st/muppetss-style puppets coem to the fore then?

it would be nice! but well - I'll wait and see

A kigurumi metal band would be creepy as all fuck.

>> No.1676 [View]

I'm not sure what you're asking... but in the west reffering to "kigurumi" usually means youre talking about the anime mask kind. In japan, the phrase itself encompases ANY costume that covers your whole body, be it baseball mascots or animal pajamas. "animegao" kigurumi is pretty big and common in japan, atleast in the commercial areas. You see character shows and kigurumi versions of childrens' show characters all the time.

sorry for the long answer, i dont quite get your question.
