I know that this is not Gachimuchi, but it is a MAD that is getting popular on Nico Nico, "Elmo and Jack Black finding an Octagon."

>8 Awesome Angles of YouTube

My favorite part is the Star Soldier/Madoka mix at 5:11.

This a sequel to the Nico Nico equivalent:

The main difference is that the new one focuses on songs that have been popular on Youtube, while the latter was more of a general medley. But the production quality and audio mixing on the newest is just perfect.

There's still at least one gachimuchi reference in the new octagon collab (pic related)

Also, the visuals at 4:25 are spectacular

I had 2 playlists of gachimuchi videos on youtube, each with 200 videos. Now it is mostly deleted.
What a terrible fate.
At least I switched to niconicodouga.
My top 3 favorite are:
1. Night of Fuck (sm17245181)
2. 小兄貴 VS. GACHICOM (sm21167694)
3. iM@S' 2nd OP remix (sm18221266)

A Korean collaboration was just released and it has some Gachimuchi in it seeing as how it's very popular on many eastern Asian websites.

There's even Metal Slug and Beach Side Bunny!

Ha. Koreans always have a distinctly different air in their videos.

What site do Koreans tend to use for video uploading? Any particularly famous users?

Also, what are the sources for the baseball player and the... wooden goose?

>> No.11763377 [View]

>>11763360

Most of their internet activities revolve around this website. http://www.dcinside.com/

Besides Chosun, it's where most Koreans get their news, start up blog websites, share their work, share memes/pictures/videos/composition and other stuff. I believe they also host videos too, though they don't support HD and down scales everything to 360p.

The wooden goose is right here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWzkmRV_Jgs

The baseball player I don't know.

The presidents/prime minsters/whatever they are, I don't know either. I'm very interested in the sources Koreans use for their videos. It's amazing how original and amazing these videos are.

There are some famous users, though they don't have many subscribers, they have a lot of subscribers/followers/friends on their little blog websites.

(One of the well known ones: http://www.youtube.com/malttongry))

Koreans tend to use YouTube if they want to upload HD videos, but they also use DC Inside's video service too I think.

Koreans, Chinese and Japanese people alike have different styles, that's what makes Eastern Asian culture so interesting to me.

The only problem I have with their videos is how choppy the framerates are in their videos. It looks as if they're doing it in 15fps or 23fps because it doesn't look as smooth as western or Japanese videos. At least, most of the videos. It could have something to do with the sources they're working with since the original source material looks very choppy.

Yep, their differences online, at least, seem much more distinct than anywhere else in the Global North.

That is, MAD/YTPMV makers from Europe, Russia, North America and South America tend to blend into a somewhat homogeneous community on Youtube, and most of the MADs from these regions are more for sheer video effects artistry and ability to sync sources rather than use of clever jokes and gags and sentence mixing.

Now that I think of it though, I have never seen a MAD from China. Do you have any examples?

Also, a Korean MAD I really like:

Only the really professional Western ones tend to be processed in 30 fps (limit of Youtube), and even when NND supports 60 fps and many of the gachimuchi sources support 60 fps, the video will still be 24 fps. I think many people do not notice the difference, IMHO.

Go to http://www.bilibili.tv/ and find some with many tags.

Like this: http://www.bilibili.tv/sp/%E6%A2%81%E9%9D%9E%E5%87%A1

As you can see AcFun and bilibili are websites that resemble Nico Nico Douga very closely. Though bilibili was initially designed because AcFun is one of the slowest things out there and after graduation, the creators of bilibili set out to make a website that will replace AcFun.

The community is there though I don't think it's as big as AcFun.

Thanks. It definitely runs smoother (if not slower) than NND, and the content seems plentiful.

Its a shame I have already committed the next few months to getting a grasp on reading Japanese, or else I would take the Mandarin classes at my uni.

Learn what you gotta learn. Personally, you shouldn't learn too many languages at once. Take your time and master one before going to the next.

The memes in the Chinese websites are mostly taken from other websites like KBC, Gachimuchi, Inmu, Hitler, and others. Lei-Fei Feung and Pei are probably the only memes/sources they came up on their own.

So it's supposed to be: Complete victory of Re(Wrestling)fags.

I also notice how this year, the Korean collaboration isn't split into four sections like 2013. This time, it's all in one piece with a medley created to help make all the parts flow a lot better.

A definite step up from HAPPILy2013 and most definitely 2012.

Yeah, having a medley laid out beforehand makes everything cleaner.

Also, I am having a creeping feeling that this year's Fairy Festival is not made by the same group of people as before. It honestly looks more like the 2008 collab than anything in the past four years. Not to say it is bad, but it the video and sound are definitely meeker.

>> No.11763605 [View]

>>11763591
There is no Fairy Festival this year...

Considering how low quality the sources (not including Gachimuchi) the Koreans have to work with, I'm not exactly surprised at how choppy the collab itself looks.

The fad isn't quite over yet. It's hanging on a thread by like 3 people who still have faith in it. Well, I mean there are other people making Wrestling videos but the popular ones are being made by like three people who's very active to this day.

Though I have a feeling Lewd Dream (Inmu) will be the next thing for everyone since their fans have gotten a lot more annoying than usual raiding more Wrestling videos. I guess it's almost over it since like no one else is willing to find more videos for people to work with since the original people who provided the videos aren't active anymore.
