i think we can agree kogasa can put the umbrella down - it's still in her possession if it's right next to her when she's sitting down inside or something. we can even say that she can keep it somewhere in the same room as her and it's still in that same state even if it's some feet away
but at what point does it become you have actually separated them? can kogasa put the umbrella at one end of a warehouse and walk to the other? or can she put the umbrella down on a train next to her and it suddenly takes off?
kogasa the girl manifested from the umbrella so i can only assume if separated at that degree she would dissipate and remanifest at where the umbrella is, since they cannot actually be separated. but i wonder at what point is one considered separated from the object

Philosophically speaking what does this picture convey?
Has Kogasa lost her physical body?
Has she lost her mind or ego or something?
Since Kogasa is both girl and the umbrella I find this intriguing.
