There are more issues, though. First, this annoying display bug happens if your vertical resolution is too high: the wooden background for the job board interface cuts off partway and, more egregiously, the message log cuts off near the bottom (pic related).
It seems that this problem happens if Elona is displaying more than 15 vertical tiles. A tile is 48*48, and the status bar is 88 tall, so the maximum vertical resolution that avoids this issue is 808. (Continued)
