To the anon that wanted to scan the first MGE volume: keep your horses just yet.

After some research I now feel confident about getting a semi-decent scan out of these two babies I've had for over a year now. If everything goes smooth I'll be done somewhere around the end of this week. The hard part would be unbinding/destroying the books but DIY videos say it's tedious more than anything else. Scanner is going to be LaserJet Pro MFP M428dw if that tells anyone anything.
Will post an update if something goes wrong and I have to scrap it / put it on hiatus.

Finally, something I would feel like a bitch if hadn't expressed concern about: how much am I going to screw KC over with this? After years in store, most potential buyers must have got them already, right? If I upload to sadpanda and advertise the fuck out of his Patreon, will that mitigate it? Surely there would be some extra advertising by the books themselves, too.
