So I'm a bit late to the party and just finished the third episode of the novel anWHAT THE FUCK BEATRICE I THOUGHT WE WERE FRIENDS WHY DID YOU TRICK POOR BATTLER INTO THINKING YOU WEREN'T A BITCH?! Seriously, right when I started to like her just a little and wasn't wishing for her death every three seconds she makes me hate her ten times more. I was even kinda sad at the part when she was getting all sewn by that crazy arrow thing... I will not make that mistake again.

General: Magic does not exist; witches do not exist. What exist is the fact that the more people are made to believe it would SEEM that the two exist. Thus, the gamble of the ceremony is made so that the world of endless possibilities are all deceived and thus the power of belief is set at its maximum.

Beatrice is not a real person, nor is it the mask a single culprit. At some point all people except Battler (will refrain from talking about his involvement in the crime due to lack of background story) have both the motive and the ability to carry out parts of the crime in the name of Beatrice. The motives being "love, sadness and anger".

Of course Kinzo is the one who planted the seed of this crime. He brainwashed/ordered the furnitures so that they are very eager to provide "facts" for fantasy/fabricated lies of fantasy and influenced his children by his years of research and/or even poisoned them at first dinner so that they have hallucinations.

Kinzo made someone write down all the possible scenarios he had planned for the game beforehand so that in the end, no matter how each piece carried out the crime, the world will accept his fantasy explanation. The one who wrote down these messages are obviously also the one who wrote all the letters. Shannon, Genji, Rosa are all possible to do this.
