Everything is a downgrade on carriers, because they don't have interception or anti-bomber stats. Bf 109T was made from quite early 109 variant and Fw 190T is most likely from 190F which wasn't really the latest either.
Any of the Italian serie 5 fighters, Fw 190D, Ta 152, Me 262, Bf 109 JG52 would have great defense stats, though mostly short range. There are also a couple twin engine bombers which were made to carry torpedoes.
Remember that they added three early to midwar Spitfire variants.
