The former prime minister of Japan was catholic. They don't give a flying fuck about religion. They know it's all just fairy tales. They are far less stupid on average as a nation than most of the world.

So apparently Japan is the second most atheist nation in the world.

They know religion is bull and they don't pretend it's not.

The Japanese eat healthier and exercise more than most Americans, and are less afflicted with religious fundamentalism, all on average. Japan also has a much better health care system than the US. Any psychological problems they have are more likely to be real problems than undiagnosed medical illness.
