Full disclosure: I was honestly not attracted to ANY of the main Muv-luv heroines. None of them did it for me -- they all had serious drawbacks; being annoying, being a loli, having a shit personality, having a weird hairstyle, or some combination thereof. But with that being said, I HATED the incessant shoving Sumika down our throats, a brutally generic moe-genki childhood friend archtype we could never be allowed to escape from if we wanted to follow the "main" storyline, with only Meiya being allowed to come close. What the fuck is so special about Sumika -- besides bullshit plot devices I mean? The fact that she luvs the MC? So does every main heroine and most of the side-heroines. The fact she was raped by the BETAs? So have other people -- and some of you guys missed what happened there; she was being raped by hideous aliens but it still felt good, proving anything shoved into her sexual organs is as good as any other thing. That is nothing special at all, and just puts her on par with any other female in any eroge. So plot devices aside, what makes her so special.

The Jouisonzai (lit., Super Existence, not "Superior" as you people call it, maybe from a bad translation) was just the brains of the operation; it did things like handle strategy, setup special ops (actions to prevent serious accidents) and performed "investigations" (gang tentacle rape, brain pickling). It's an AI controller of a resource-collection system, not a supreme commander of an alien space army.

By taking out the Jouisonzai, humanity now has a real chance of re-taking the planet before it's completely wiped out from resource collection. Taking on each Hive is still a brutally difficult task, but possible without facing a crushing retaliation in response.

If the Jouisonzai had survived (or if it shares data with others in Sol), it probably would have engineered a solution for G-Bombs. But maybe not; as mentioned above, it's just a CPU for an automated mining system. Tentacle rape and jarring brains may have been the limit of it's science abilities.

Was I the only one who found most of female cast in Muvluv unattractive an generally greedy/self-centered?
