It isn't history when the golden era members are all alive and well. Last time I checked tsuji and maki videos were pulling more views than some of the morning musume PVs. Face it, shin morning musume is still living under the shadow of the golden era members and still has to pay tribute to Golden era or no one would bother to even listen. The only reason anyone in showbusiness even gives the modern group a chance is because they share the same name with a once great group produced by Tsunku.

Yes, of course. Everyone remembers the horrible scandal of koharu saying on the radio she didn't plan on staying in morning musume forever, but evidence of a real crime committed inside of UF headquarters by one of the staff, that's nothing. Nothing to see or care about here!

Even kago said later that when she was 12 her boyfriend was one of the staff members in the building. But, "oh no! Mari a 20 something woman might be dating a famous actor!!!!" Is what people care and remember. Helloproject fans have the most selective outrage and memory I have ever seen in a fandom.

BTW, old fag here. My favorite scandal was the one that never got made public during the time it happened. It was the Sayaka/Maki/Yuuki incident back in 2000.

Apparently back in the day the girls in hello!project were thirsty as fuck. Yuuki goto wrote about in his book that he ended up secretly dating a few of them. Other sources say it was Sayaka. She ended up getting "romantic" with Goto Yuuki and Goto Maki found out. Maki didn't take too kind that Sayaka was "dating" her younger brother. This created a big drama inside the group because maki ended up hating sayaka and it made a real akward situation until Sayaka was forced to quit the group in 2000. Yuuki got also wrote that he had relations with another member who he called "Y.". Some theorize it might have been Yaguchi.

Goto Yuuki blames the growth of his ego due to the attention of all the female members wanting to "date" him. If you go back and watch some of the old vids of maki and sayaka together you can sense the akwardness. They didn't see eye to eye after that drama.

A scandal that not many knew about until 20 years later. Im sure there's more details too that aren't told yet.

I always had a feeling that there was another reason why sayaka suddenly graduated right at their height of popularity. Now it makes sense.
