Don't have that much free time this week but worked a bit on it. This time I'll only use things from the original, no 3D additional shit.

I think I'm almost there for the simple release I talked about earlier. The big blocks on the original image are actually a big trap when you're thinking about the grid. I'm just treating them as 2 blocks and will code that visual sugar addition later if I feel like it.
