I just hit a problem while trying to download Melty Blood Act Cadenza - Collection 2009 as this will my first time playing any melty blood.

I downloaded the file from hongfire and was able to install it easily

The problem is im trying to figure out how to install the mirror moon english patch as it says i need to have the disk inserted into my drive and not read off my mounted drive. What should i do

I'm not sure if this is the proper place to ask but I guess it is since /v/ probably doesn't care about Japanese released fighting games and it's not /a/ related enough.

Anyways...I've been a pretty big SF4 player for a while and I decided to pick up on Melty Blood and I was wondering if anyone here knows about the differences between the games. And yes, I already played Tsukihime a while back and loved it..anyways, which version do you start with? Do you start with the first version of Melty Blood and the Re Act expansion or can I go straight to Act Cadenza without losing any of the storyline? I'm currently getting my PS2 cracked so I can play Actress Again on it.

Well yeah, tl;dr..is there any difference in which Melty Blood version I download for PC storyline play? I want to see how they continue the storyline after Tsukihime and whatnot.

Just downloaded Melty Blood Act Cadenza ver. B, but it says that I need the Japanese CD to install the English patch. I don't have (and I don't plan on buying) the CD, so how can I install it without one?

Having finally finished Kagetsu Tohya, I decided to finally start MB. I'm starting with vanilla, to see the story.

But christ, the transitions can take from 10 seconds to 30. Is there a way to fix this? It's nigh unbearable.

Hey, /jp/, I have a Meltan (Act Cadenza) question for you that is causing me problems. Specifically, it involves setting up a game pad to work for the game.

What I am using is a Dualshock 3, which, when I last used it, worked just fine. However, when I try it now, the L2, R2, Start, Select, and PS button are the only things that work. Now, the catch is, on my SNES and PSX emulators, every button works just fine.

Do any of you know what the deal is here? Normally, I'd refer this problem to /g/, I'm assuming you guys would be more familiar with this specific situation. Otherwise, I'll go to them as a second resort.

So guys I see all these "Melty Blood" threads and I went to go try it out. It seems like any other fighter, but I keep getting my ass kicked. Do you guys have any tips or tricks to get better quickly?
