Ok so, sort of a weird thing here but, there IS a thing in Lovecraftian lore that is called the Wendigo. It's other names include Ithaqua or The Wind-Walker. In Lovecraft's version of the story, the Wendigo is what the Native Americans called this minor Elder God, even though it's "real" name is Ithaqua. It controls snow, ice and cold, and can walk through the sky as easily as it walks on earth.
