The only novelty Satsuki every had was that she didn't have a route, and now that's gone.
There are still tons of maid thread, they just get crowded out by the Touhou bloom.

Tsukihime is very well written, a /jp/ favorite, and is pretty awesome as well. A non-H option is included in the translation patch, so you don't have any excuse for not trying it.

Setting difficulty to 1 made things easier (obviously).
Setting damage to 5, not so much.

Thank god you can't KO with chip damage in this game.
