That was the only run when I lost any plane rank. Therefore my surprise, especially since it happened for three planes at once.
Of course I took 2CV, two blues one red and Saiun aren't enough for AS. I have no idea why did you even consider other possibility. Just so you don't have to wonder any further, here's how planes looked after final kill. Iwamoto was on big slot during chipping.
Setup I used is very good because it lets me get AS with two fighters, forces Zui to attack Ru Kai and gives both carriers a lot of power.

If you have two or more CVs, it's good to put dive bomber on one of them because installations are always assisted by Ru Kai.
